The Hungarian Water Polo Federation is proud to host another top level international water polo event in Hungary. In 2018, the best youth players
will return to Szombathely five years after a memorable 2013 FINA Youth World Championships finally conquered by Italy.
This first bulletin of the World Championships will provide you with the most
important information well ahead of the tournament. The organising committee is looking forward to hearing back from you.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
SERVICES PROVIDED BY LOC
Following services will be provided by the LOC:
Accommodation in 4-star or 3-star hotels including full board, i.e. 3
meals a day
Transportation services (including airport shuttle and daily transportation for longer distances)
Use of training facilities in Szombathely or Bükfürdő (based on hotel location)
Accreditation for all delegation members Medical care
Team guide assistance
The LOC is taking care of the high quality organisation and promotion of the tournament with an aim of hosting a spectacular event putting young
athletes in the focus. Find information on the competition and training venues in Appendix 1.
TEAM ACCOMMODATION
Team Accommodation will be provided in 4-star or 3-star hotels including
full board, i.e. 3 meals a day (up to 9 double rooms and 2 single rooms).
Teams can choose from six different hotels located in Szombathely and Bükfürdő (approx. 35 minutes from the competition venue by the official
transportation) on a first come first served basis.
4-Star Hotels: Hotel Claudius Szombathely up to 8 teams
Danubius Health Spa Resort Bükfürdő* up to 8 teams
3-Star Hotels:
Garda Hotel Szombathely up to 3 teams Hotel P4W Residence Szombathely for 1 team

You will find a detailed description of the hotels in Appendix 2.
*Teams accommodated in Bükkfürdő will have trainings on site to avoid
long travel times.

CONTRIBUTION All participating teams are subject to the payment of a contribution to the
organisation of the event based on the duration of their stay in Szombathely (departure day not included).
Contribution: EUR 60/day/delegation member (players or officials).
Deposit payments of 50% are requested by 30 May 2018.
Final payment deadline: 15 July 2018.

APPENDIX 1
EVENT FACILITIES
Tófürdő –
Competition venue
The Tófürdő beach in Szombathely is located by 100 meter from Hotel
Claudius, in the middle of the city’s greenbelt. It’s easy to approach,
therefore it’s easy to reach it from the surrounding hotels.
It’s an outdoor pool, so in the nice, sunny weather we can have cheerful
matches there.
In the field of 5.4 hectares, it’s waiting for the guests with 5, temperature-controlled swimming pool. There are waveless pool, training pool, water
slide pool, adventure pool and three-piece children pool. Beside the 3 buffet, a modern, 300 meals restaurant is waiting for the guests too with a huge
terrace, from where we can enjoy the view of the 1174 m2 large pretty fishpond with fountain, what produced for attractive purpose.

Competitors have full access to the change rooms. The most of the world championship matches are keep in here. For this occasion we prepare with
a 1000 people grandstand.

Indoor pool 1 - Competition and training venue
A brand new swimming pool, opened in 2017, is directly connected to the
“old” indoor swimming pool and is about 100 meters from the competition
venue. The pool is used by the local water polo team so it’s perfectly fit for
trainings and games. The pool has a capacity of 200 spectators.
The main hotel – Hotel Claudius – is the next building, Hotel Garda and
Hotel Residence is in walking distance.
Indoor pool 2 - Training venue
The city’s indoor swimming pool lies in the direct neighbourhood of Hotel
Claudius, the pool is about 100 meters away from the competition venue.
