Welcome to Sri LankaAyubowan! The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in collaboration with the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA) , supported by the Asia Pacific Federation of HR (APFHRM) proud and privileged to present you the world’s premier people event, the 18th World HR Congress (WHRC) July 6-8, 2020 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Convention Hall in Colombo, Sri Lanka which coincides with the 60th anniversary celebration of CIPM Sri Lanka. it is, therefore, we have aptly selected the theme: “Exalting People Professionals: Explore, Expand and Excel” for the 18th World Congress.

This biennial Conclave has been held since 1986 in seventeen different countries and the venue for the 18th congress of the world is the beautiful paradise island nation Sri Lanka, the pearl of the Indian Ocean. The WHRC converges people professional from five continental federations consists of 93 countries to Sri Lanka and it will enable people professionals to build a global community of peers, to discuss new developments, and to network with colleagues from around the world who face similar complex challenges in the people profession. This will also be the first occasion the WHRC takes place in South Asia, the most humanly rich region of the world.

World HR Congress in Sri Lanka will be staged at a very crucial juncture of mankind while we are dealing with many complexities juggling with people, planet and profits, a new industrial era is already dawned and we are on the brink of the next big thing, the 5th industrial revolution where the human and machine will dance together as technology will help human to vastly increase labour productivity and to align return on investment with purpose but it will require intentionality and moral clarity. On the other hand, there is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs provide history’s first universal matrix for achieving a flourishing future. Adopted by the heads of governments from 193 UN member states, the SDG framework addresses the key physical facets of life of all beings in our global village – social, environmental and economic.

In this backdrop, we have endeavoured to lineup enhanced and enriched experience for you with an exciting flavour of global, regional and local blend. It also paves the way for a refreshingly rewarding experience of authentic Sri Lankan tourism for the valued international delegates. Information for ExhibitorsA commercial and professional exhibition will take place parallel to the conference hours. We wish to maximize the exhibitor’s exposure to the delegates, for this reason all coffee breaks will be held in the exhibition area.

Booth DecorationsExhibitors are forbidden to extend their booths into the thoroughfare or other areas, which were not ordered and paid for by the exhibitor.

Allocation of Exhibition SpaceSpace Allocation will be made on a “first come, first served basis”. A completed application form accompanied by advance payment should be mailed/faxed to ensure reservation of a desired location.

Upon receipt of the application form with payment, space will be confirmed and an invoice for the balance due will be mailed. Please note that three alternative choices should be clearly indicated on the application form. Space allocations will be made in the order in which application forms with payment are received.

Exhibitor RegistrationAll exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company name. Two exhibitor badges will be given for the first 6 sqm booked, and one badge for every 6 sqm thereafter. Any additional exhibitors will be charged an exhibitor registration fee.

Technical/Exhibitor Manual A technical manual outlining all technical aspects of exhibiting will be circulated 1 month before the Conference. Cancellation PolicyCancellations will be accepted in writing only. A cancellation notice received by01 June 2020, will entitle a reimbursement of 50% of the sponsorship payment, under the condition that the allocated space will be rented to another exhibitor. No reimbursement will be possible after 01 June 2020.
