Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru - For t he funny bone

Debutant filmmaker Nandhi ni has come out wi th a hilarious entertainer - all situational comedies that is

certainly different from the mad crowds of commercial cliches in Kollywood.

Her 'Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru' (T4), shot completely in digital format, is about a couple trapped in a difficult

situation and how they manage to bail themsel ves out of the trouble. With seas oned actor Mouli in the middle,

Nandhini has woven a script that makes you think less , but laugh more.

As a dia logue writer, Nandhini deserves a pat for com ing up with one-liners that evokes instant laughter. Also

the pace at which the script moves m akes it an interes ting affair.

Ajmal, who acted in Anjathey and TN 09 A L 4777, d ons a different role here. He plays a youth who lives life

in his own way. He fits the role to T. So is debutante Rupa Manjeri. Nandhini, who earlier had worked as an

ass ociate to Priya (of 'Kandanaal Mudhal' fame), managed to extract the bes t from the lead pair.

Arjun (Ajmal) and Archana (Rupa) are colleagues in an advertisem ent agency managed by Srinivasan

(Moulee). Both Arjun and Archana differ each other. The former is a callous youth, while the latter opts for

perfection in all her acts.

They come together to bail o ut their bos s from a tough financial situation. They manage to find a baby child as

the model for an advertisement campaign. But there begins the story, as the child is a kidnapped one. They

now go hamme r and tongs to find out its real parents and also get the permissi on from them to allow their kid

to be part of advertisement campaign .

Mouli is at his best elevating his performance scene after scene. He lends more charm and grace to his

character. As an abs ent-minded bos s, he has come with a neat show. He continues from where he had left in

'Poi Solla Porom'.

If Mouli hogs all limelight playing a cool boss, so are the dialogues by Nandhini. Reminding one of Crazy

Mohan at many places, her script succeeds in evoking laughter.

Ajmal tries his best to li ve up to the character. Rupa Manjeri is impress ive in her body language and dialogue

delivery. A young child (Darshan) around whom the story revolves deserves appreciation.

The riveting colour tones of the s ong s equences are due to Sudhir K Choudhrys cinematography.

Comm endable editing by M S Surya helps the script a lot.

Music compos er Mani Sharma's pleas ant melodies is the hallma rk of the movie. His background score too is

appreciable. Placement of s ong s equences has been so well worked out that they do not pose a hindrance to
