Introduction:-
The school has numerous projects going on allthe time. Nagpur is infamous for itsdisobedience to traffic rules which has reacheddangerous proportions. This has impactedeveryone especially our staff members whouse two wheelers for commuting to school,something observed by the children.
Circle time:-While doing a circle time session on vehicles, the childrenshowed concern on how no one including their parentsfollow traffic rules.
In this session they shared their experiences on how theirparents and drivers talk on the phone while driving, breakthe signal when they are in hurry etc.
Notice:-First notice was sent to parents regarding the project(Traffic Rules) taken up.

Music Time:-Songs on Traffic Ruleswere taken up in themusic period.
Story Time:-
A storyon TrafficRules wastaken upin a storytimesession.
Activities:-A host of activities were undertaken to bring the change:-1. A road scene was created where children drove theirriders as they wanted.
We created traffic signals then with kids manning the mock‘signals’; they learnt that rules are necessary. Fiveimportant simple rules which are not followed wereexplained.
1. No breaking traffic signals.2. No talking on cell phones while driving.3. No speeding.4. Helmets for two wheelers.5. Seat belts in cars.
Activities:-2. Our Kid Copsmonitored the trafficoutside, tooksurveys, addressedsenior secondarystudents, their ownvan/auto drivers tofollow them.
Activities:-3. Streets plays atmalls gave addedexposure and aproud moment whenRadio FM coveredthe event.
Activities:-4. Children expressed through drawings what they see on roads.

Notice:-Second notice was sent to parents regarding slogan makingcontest.
Activities:-5. Slogan making contest on traffic rules for parents.
Activities:-6. The Traffic Inspector, Mr. Revatkar addressed the parents aswell as secondary students.
Notice:-Third notice was sent to parents about the power pointpresentation on Traffic Rules.
Activities:-1. During our File SigningDay and other events, apresentation shownregarding Traffic and over2000 parents took a pledgeto obey Traffic Rules.
Impact:-1. Our staff members have slowly and surely taken to wearinghelmets.
Charity begins at home.

This challenge has not ended rather it is the beginning of a safer
journey.
