Conflict Materials.What does it mean to your company?

It’s complicated legislation and there are many accounting firms and legal firms providing guidance. It applies to you if you are:

1. Listed with the S.E.C2. You manufacture products or

contract to manufacture products3. Your products contain conflict

minerals that are necessary to the functionality or production of that product for production year 2013.

4. Conflict Minerals are Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum and Gold

What you may be required to collect:

• Description of products that contain conflict minerals

• Facilities used to process those minerals

• Country of origin of those minerals

• Your efforts to determine the mine and the location of origin

You are required to file Form SD with the SEC on May 31st, 2014 and possibly a Conflict Mineral exhibit.

order to boost performance.

In a Nutshell…The GTIN Generator process extension derives a unique Global Trade Identification Number (GTIN) from your product data and can generate the required Health Level 7 (HL7) Structured Product Labeling (SPL)-formatted submission data.
