CORPUS CHRISTI

“They all ate and were satisfied.” Luke 9:11-17

Prepare For Next Sunday’s Readings

INTRODUCTION

In next Sunday’s Gospel, (June 30), we are all called to follow Jesus is no surprise. This sacramentally-sealed call is operative for as long as we live. We also know that accepting it has implications we will only discover as we go. Today’s readings remind us that calls can be unexpected, demanding, even dangerous. But Paul assures us that freedom, love and the Spirit’s guidance are all part of it.

SCRIPTURE READINGS

1 Kings 19:16, 19-21: The prophet Elijah calls

Elisha to follow him

Galatians 5:1, 13-18: The Spirit sets us free to

encompassing commitment

Most people believe that “just try harder” and exercising “more willpower” is the answer to overcoming porn addiction. This is the worst possible advice! You’ve got to learn how to “work with your brain” instead of “fighting against it.” Everything you need to break free is already built into the very structure of your brain-the same type of brain process that got you into this mess, can help you get out. The Catholic RECLAIM SEXUAL HEALTH recovery system will show you how. Enroll at www.reclaimsexualhealth.com today!
