Progress Reports
On Friday, February 14th JAMS students will be sent home with
mid-quarter progress reports. Progress reports will list students’ current grades in all
subjects as well as attendance records. As a reminder, Skyward Family Access
provides you with access to student grades in all subjects as well as individual
assignments throughout the school year. Please check with your student to inquire if
their progress report is to be signed by a parent and returned to their homeroom.
From the Principal’s Desk
Think Positive! Spring is almost here! I’m sure all of you
share the same feelings I do about “Old Man Winter!”
Spring is right around the corner….
That means it must be time for the annual ISAT Tests! We
will take the tests in the testing window beginning the
week of March 3rd through March 14th.
I have done some searching and I have provided some
helpful hints that you, as parents, can help your child
do his or her best, as well as, tips for your child to do
the very best that he or she can! In striving to help
them achieve their goals on these exams.
Thank you for supporting us at Joseph Arthur Middle
School and your child as we all seek to provide them
the very best!
Parents, “thank you” for helping keep your child on the
academic track! Please continue to do the same as we
continue the second half of the school year. With the
winter season still upon us, please inform the
office of any phone number changes you may have.
We use the SkyAlert system to notify our students’ families
of school cancellations and dismissals. Thank you for your
help in keeping your numbers current.
Detentions will continued to be served on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 3:30‐4:30pm.
As a reminder, please continue to look for this new monthly
Newsletter containing pertinent events, activities and news
on our school district’s website,www.central104.org ,
Look for the Newsletter on the first of every month. Parents
are also encouraged to utilize any notes from the class-
room, the school website, and SkyWard parent portal to
stay informed of your child’s educational events. Please
remember that it is imperative that you choose to be an
integral part of your child’s education by being involved in
the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities that make
up the school year. As always, I encourage you to contact
your child’s teacher or the office in the event you have a
question or concern. We, at Joseph Arthur Middle School,
are proud of the students, faculty and the people that work
to make this school a better place.
