Developing the performing arts talent in our young peopleThe Gosfield School Performing Arts Academy is firmly embedded within our curriculum from Prep, to Senior and into the Sixth Form. Utilising the outstanding facilities of our 110 acre estate and our new Performing Arts Centre which is in construction, our Performing Arts For All programme enables our pupils to establish and develop their talents in drama, music and dance from the ages of four to 18.

The three tier programme is structured to enable participation at all levels of ability - from growing as beginners, to improving as achievers and to inspiring all at the elite performance level.

An all-round educationOur Performing Arts Academy forms a part of an exceptional all round education provided at Gosfield School.

Small classes and personalised pathways give every young person the opportunity to be the best they can. The Senior School and Sixth Form are situated in an elegant Victorian manor, while the Prep School and Nursery benefit from purpose-built contemporary architecture at Meadow Court. Both embrace a wide range of academic subjects delivered through personalised pathways to class groups exclusively capped at no more than 20 in Prep and 22 in Senior.

We expect every individual to grow and reach beyond their academic predictions from the point they join us. Academic rigour is accompanied by an equally strong focus on personal characteristics. Pupils benefit from our own Forest School, deep commitment to Duke of Edinburgh awards, extraordinary expeditions and the value of public speaking and debating. Each develops self-confidence, resilience and problem solving skills that will be essential in tomorrow’s workplace. Our hugely successful Cricket Academy has won us acclaim as an Essex Cricket Inspirational School.

We expect every individual to achieve success in all their endeavours, whilst recognising the importance of trust, respect and kindness within happy and fulfilling lives. Comprising around 260 pupils aged between two and 18 years, our school really is like an extended family. Most pupils and staff know everyone’s name. Pupils, teachers and support staff share lunch in the same dining hall. Friendships transcend all ages and families become lifelong friends too.

We expect every individual to inspire others around them, and to become engaging, innovative and collaborative contributors to the future. With a comprehensive mini bus provision serving towns and villages across the region, Gosfield School provides a unique opportunity for pupils of all academic and artistic abilities to enjoy the freedoms, experiences and rewards provided by an Independent education.
