Conclusion
• Twin IHI Gasifier (TIGAR®) can stably produce syngas with higher heating value from Lignite coal.
• As a result of 6t/d Pilot Plant test, TIGAR® is proven technology for lignite gasification.
• CO2 can be captured from syngas using coal gasification, and biomass can be utilized as feed stock easily for CO2 reduction.
• IHI is planning to demonstrate TIGAR® at Indonesian fertilizer plant as first step for commercialization.
