North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is the official partner state of HUSUM Wind 2017. As well as an exhibition programme centred on NRW, there will also be numerous exhibitors from the state – also at the big NRW communal stand.

Due to their great energy yield, offshore wind farms are making an ever-increasing contributi-on to Germany’s energy supply. 2017 is also an exciting year for this sector of the wind industry.

Sector coupling is a key technology for the ener-gy transition. Increased dovetailing of power, heat and transport means that the energy can be applied exactly where it is needed at any particular time. an equally important topic is grid integration, which is about the best possible use of existing grids for wind energy feed-in.

HUSUM Wind RunOn the morning of 13.09.2017 we are staging a run for all the sports enthusiasts among the fair attendees; a great morning exercise that will certainly get you wide awake.

Every participant gets a free T-shirt before the run, and a power-snack on crossing the finishing line. And then off you go off to the fair, fit as a fiddle!

Windwanderer FestivalAfter your visit to the fair you can continue to party with us and the town of Husum: live bands will be performing in nu-merous music pubs and other venues around the picturesque harbour.

Anyone who wants to can wander from concert to concert, or stay put in any preferred venue. There is a great range of music available this year, so that there is something for everyone’s taste.

WindcareerOn the last day of HUSUM Wind 2017 the Windcareer job fair is totally focused on work and career, training and retraining in the wind industry.
