What are the Environmental Problems caused by Human

Settlement?

Temperature  Increase

Huge concrete structures of buildings create heat in the city environment.

Air pollutionemissions of  harmful   gases and smoke from factories and vehicles, air pollution results

Changes in Natural Water Cycle

dumping of sewage from factories in water bodies, water pollution occur which often resulting in outbreaks of epidemics

Destruction of Natural Habitats of Flora and Fauna

forested areas are destroyed  which otherwise would have been  natural habitats to many birds and animals

What measures can be taken to ease these problems?

The major problem of urban areas is the large-scale immigration of rural people.

It is due to high population growth than the generation of employment and economic opportunities in rural areas.

i. Improve the quality of living conditions as well as create employment and educational opportunities in rural areas.

ii. Balance must be created between rural and urban areas in their different environmental conditions.
