HS Announcements: Friday, August 31 st High School 1. Are you interested in running for class officer? Sign-up sheets are in the office. If you are interested in running, you must sign up by next Friday. President and Vice President run as a team. Please sign-up. Very few candidates have so far. 2. Parking. Sophomores will be called out of homeroom to choose spots today. Wednesday, Sept. 5 th is first day for students to park in assigned spots. All vehicles must have a parking pass beginning Wednesday – even those parked in the gravel. If you still need a parking pass, see Mrs. Neer by the end of the day. 3. Want more information about the Army National Guard? Please talk to Callie Woodruff or Max Bailey. 4. Attention Juniors & Seniors. The following institutions and military branches will have representatives here to meet with you during homeroom time: 9/7- Army National Guard 9/19- Cleveland Institute of Art 9/11- Ohio Christian University 9/20- Shawnee State 9/13- Army, Army Reserves, Special Ops 10/23- Air Force Please stop by guidance to sign up or if you have any questions. 5. Auditions for the WLS Dramatics Society Fall production of “Archie and the Wallflower” will be Tuesday, Sept. 4 th at 6:30 and Thursday, Sept. 6 th at 6:30. Please try to attend on Sept. 4 th if possible. If you need your audition sheet and script pages, see Kailey Kopus. 6. Lost & Found – glasses, watch, and calculator were found in gym, locker room, and 50’s hall on Wednesday. If you are missing one of these items, please come to the office to describe and claim. Reminder – NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON MONDAY, SEPT. 3 rd and TUESDAY, SEPT. 4 th !! Athletics 1. 7 th grade volleyball improved to 2-0 by defeating Cedarville. Tory Cordell was the leading scorer with 16 points, 9 aces, 4 kills. Jonni Parker added 6 aces, 6 kills. Aubrie Stillings had 5 points, 2 kills and Macy Murphy added 5 points. 2. 8 th grade volleyball improved to 1-1 by defeating Cedarville. Camille Whitcraft was the leading scorer with 14 points, 3 aces. Kiana Reames had 7 points, 2 kills and Kelby Strapp had 7 points, 4 aces. 3. Varsity Girls Soccer Team defeated Mechanicsburg 9-0. Goals for WLS were Shonda Gieseke with 3, Melany Ward-2, Addy Hartsel, Maddie Gantz, Ashleigh Gieseke, Hailey Miller with 1 each. Savannah Marceau had 2 assists and Annika Wolfe 1. April Kelley and Alandra Cox each had a save in goal. 4. JV Volleyball lost at Triad last night. Kylie Gilroy had 6 assists, 5 aces, 5 digs. Mollie Etgen had 7 assists, 5 kills. 5. 6. Varsity golf defeated Mechanicsburg 168-207. Top 4 scores for WLS were Jacob Rutan 36, Nick Sims 38, Ethan McBean 44, Casey Gay 50.

7. Varsity boys soccer tied Botkins 1-1. Garrett Conklin scored off a Grant Burden assist. Sam Warye had 9 saves in goal.
