Workshop A: 08:30 – 16:00Practical applications on the Balanced Scorecard - how toset and select measures and targets while cascading thesewith your own Scorecard

Introduction:

The key to taking the Balanced Scorecard from theory to applicationincludes the process of developing measures or drivers ofperformance. Developing appropriate, strategically vital measuresand targets that support the strategy is a huge challenge that HR and strategy professionals often struggle to master.

This workshop will give you a performance management toolkit aswell as practical techniques on how to manage performance toensure you get the best results from your Scorecard.

• Decide what to measure and what not to measure• Evaluate what strategic measures must be quantified and their

relevancy to developing your scorecard• Define the right measures and targets: not too many measures

as to burden the strategy or complicate the analysis• How healthcare sets targets by defining baseline, reasonable and

stretch levels of performance• Recognise the set backs in your organisation and know where to

make changes that will positively affect the performance of yourBalanced Scorecard
