• Having a real, physical B-O-O-K with your name on it makes a STRONG statement of Authority, Credibility and Expertise.
• What you say in your book reinforces and subliminally “sells” the benefits of using your products / services.
• Your book is more than “how to” – it’s a statement of your overall philosophy.
Our Keys To Creating Your Book
FAST!!!• Based on what you ALREADY know – so it
won’t require tons of research.
• Based on ANSWERING questions rather than filling out a detailed outline, etc.
• Based on TALKING not writing – there’s no need to fear a “blank” page or screen
• FINALLY... DO exactly what I say during this session!
Resources You’ll Need:
• Stack of blank Index cards – at least 100.
• Pen / Pencil / Marker to write with
• Your Data Sheet / Info you’ve already done
• Internet access for quick research
• Time set aside NOW to do this – today is a workshop so get ready to WORK!
Step 1 – Brainstorm Chapters
• Grab 10 index cards
• You will write down – 1 per card – a KEY Question/ Challenge regularly mentioned by your prospects
• NOTE: You can leverage Key Challenges you’ve already identified in earlier UMM Sessions.
Examples…• How do you automate your way to success
• What was your million dollar total business transformation
• How do I market for small businesses
• 5 Ways to generate cash fast for your business
• How to fix your funnel
• Creating the worlds best customer service
• How to turn your passion into profits
• How the quickest, easiest ideas turned ordinary businesses into extraordinary success stories over night
• The anatomy of a small business
• What is no BS Marketing that Gets you results
Step 2 – Edit/Organize Chapter Cards
• Go through that list of 10 and throw away 3 cards.
• Get rid of the ones you think are weakest, least interesting, or you’re not comfortable speaking to.
• When you’re down to 7, arrange them in an order that seems to work best.
Step 3 – Ask Questions• Place the Chapter Cards in front of you, 1 through 7.
• Grab 10 blank cards for each Chapter – you should have 70 blank cards PLUS the 7 Chapter cards.
• For each Chapter, brainstorm 10 burning Questions / Challenges /Objections that your prospects want to know the answers to
• Write them down on the blank cards, 1 per card.
• Just start writing as fast as possible in no particular order
Questions / Challenges / Objections
• Involves going back to your early thinking on your prospect.
• These are their hidden secret desires.
• What is keeping them up at night?
• What is of REAL interest to them?
• What are the real AND imagined problems they are having?
Examples“How Do I Automate My Way To Success?”
• Why would I want to do this? • What will this do for my business?• How did you start?• What is the real goal of a business owner?• How do I know what I should automate?• What is the biggest mistake people make?• This looks very difficult and complicated?• What are the measurements for success?• What if I am not tech-savy?• Where can I add automation?
Examples“Generating Cash for Your Business?”
• Is adding additional revenue today even possible?• How can I make the cash register ring today?• How do I find the people with money?• What is the right type of media to use?• How is thinking like an entrepreneur different?• How can I create effective systems?• How quickly can I make a second sale?• How do I know I’ve been successful? What are the
metrics?• What are the biggest mistakes that people make?• Where do I find the “best” money?
Step 4 – Edit/Organize Question Cards
• For each set of 10 Question Cards, go through that stack of 10 and throw away 3 cards.
• Get rid of questions you think are weakest, least interesting, or you’re not comfortable speaking to.
• When you’re down to 7 Questions per Chapter, arrange the Questions in an order that seems to work best.
• The Goal: 7 CHAPTERS with 7 QUESTIONS Per Chapter in a logical sequence.
Step 5 – Bullet Point Your Answers
• Flip each Question Card over and write 3 prompt words that will remind you of how you would answer this question
• Example: What is the biggest mistake people make?– Thinking that they are in the product/X
business– Not the first product– Worked in the past, but not now
• Repeat for all 7 Question Cards for all 7 Chapters
Step 6 – Create Your Book’s Intro and Ending
• These 7 Sets of Cards outline chapters 1 – 7 … and You Still Need…
– INTRO Chapter
– ENDING Chapter

• State Your Name
• Briefly Tell Your STORY
• This book is for [TARGET PROSPECT] who want to [SOLVE KEY CHALLENGE]

Step 7: Get Someone to Interview You
• Interviewer Role:
– Go through Cards in Order
– Ask Questions
• Your Role:
– Answer Questions
– Make sure the audio of the interview gets recorded.

Interview Process
1. INTERVIEWER: Picks up your first Chapter Card and reads off the Chapter Name.
2. INTERVIEWER: Picks up the first Question Card for that Chapter.
3. INTERVIEWER: Reads your question and then hands the index card over to give you the prompt words.
4. YOU: Use the prompt words to answer the question.5. INTERVIEWER: If at any time you don’t understand,
you can ask additional clarifying questions. 6. Repeat for each Question Card in that Chapter.7. Repeat for Each Chapter.
Step 8: Turn Your Audio Into Text
• Get the audio of your call transcribed – send it to:– http://www.internettranscribers.com/ ($.02/word)– www.Elance.com– http://transcribeme.com
• Clean up the transcription text Chapter by Chapter.• Add in Intros and Outros to Chapters – to make them
read easier. The best format:– INTRO: Tell them what you are going to tell them – MIDDLE: Your Answers to Questions– OUTRO: Recap what you told them.
• Complete a Final Edit of your completed manuscript or hire a ghost writer to do it (Elance again)
Step 9: Create Your Book Title and Subtitle
• Create a Powerful, Attention Getting Title that speaks to your Target Prospects and their Concerns
• Create a Subtitle that speaks to the desired End Result / Transformation
