Session 5: “How To Write A Book Without Ever

Putting Pen To Paper”

The Power of “Your Book”…

• Having a real, physical B-O-O-K with your name on it makes a STRONG statement of Authority, Credibility and Expertise.

• What you say in your book reinforces and subliminally “sells” the benefits of using your products / services.

• Your book is more than “how to” – it’s a statement of your overall philosophy.

Our Keys To Creating Your Book

FAST!!!• Based on what you ALREADY know – so it

won’t require tons of research.

• Based on ANSWERING questions rather than filling out a detailed outline, etc.

• Based on TALKING not writing – there’s no need to fear a “blank” page or screen

• FINALLY... DO exactly what I say during this session!

Resources You’ll Need:

• Stack of blank Index cards – at least 100.

• Pen / Pencil / Marker to write with

• Your Data Sheet / Info you’ve already done

• Internet access for quick research

• Time set aside NOW to do this – today is a workshop so get ready to WORK!

Step 1 – Brainstorm Chapters

• Grab 10 index cards

• You will write down – 1 per card – a KEY Question/ Challenge regularly mentioned by your prospects

• NOTE: You can leverage Key Challenges you’ve already identified in earlier UMM Sessions.

Examples…• How do you automate your way to success

• What was your million dollar total business transformation

• How do I market for small businesses

• 5 Ways to generate cash fast for your business

• How to fix your funnel

• Creating the worlds best customer service

• How to turn your passion into profits

• How the quickest, easiest ideas turned ordinary businesses into extraordinary success stories over night

• The anatomy of a small business

• What is no BS Marketing that Gets you results

For Added Research: Use Amazon… look Up Your Topic / Industry

Okay… Ready… Set….

Step 2 – Edit/Organize Chapter Cards

• Go through that list of 10 and throw away 3 cards.

• Get rid of the ones you think are weakest, least interesting, or you’re not comfortable speaking to.

• When you’re down to 7, arrange them in an order that seems to work best.

Okay… Ready… Set….

Step 3 – Ask Questions• Place the Chapter Cards in front of you, 1 through 7.

• Grab 10 blank cards for each Chapter – you should have 70 blank cards PLUS the 7 Chapter cards.

• For each Chapter, brainstorm 10 burning Questions / Challenges /Objections that your prospects want to know the answers to

• Write them down on the blank cards, 1 per card.

• Just start writing as fast as possible in no particular order

Questions / Challenges / Objections

• Involves going back to your early thinking on your prospect.

• These are their hidden secret desires.

• What is keeping them up at night?

• What is of REAL interest to them?

• What are the real AND imagined problems they are having?

Examples“How Do I Automate My Way To Success?”

• Why would I want to do this? • What will this do for my business?• How did you start?• What is the real goal of a business owner?• How do I know what I should automate?• What is the biggest mistake people make?• This looks very difficult and complicated?• What are the measurements for success?• What if I am not tech-savy?• Where can I add automation?

Examples“Generating Cash for Your Business?”

• Is adding additional revenue today even possible?• How can I make the cash register ring today?• How do I find the people with money?• What is the right type of media to use?• How is thinking like an entrepreneur different?• How can I create effective systems?• How quickly can I make a second sale?• How do I know I’ve been successful? What are the

metrics?• What are the biggest mistakes that people make?• Where do I find the “best” money?

Okay… Ready… Set….

Step 4 – Edit/Organize Question Cards

• For each set of 10 Question Cards, go through that stack of 10 and throw away 3 cards.

• Get rid of questions you think are weakest, least interesting, or you’re not comfortable speaking to.

• When you’re down to 7 Questions per Chapter, arrange the Questions in an order that seems to work best.

• The Goal: 7 CHAPTERS with 7 QUESTIONS Per Chapter in a logical sequence.

Okay… Ready… Set….

Step 5 – Bullet Point Your Answers

• Flip each Question Card over and write 3 prompt words that will remind you of how you would answer this question

• Example: What is the biggest mistake people make?– Thinking that they are in the product/X

business– Not the first product– Worked in the past, but not now
