It is a free Internet calendar that lets you keep track of your own events and share your calendars with others.

It became available on April 13, 2006, and exited the beta stage in July 2009.

Prior creating an event, you are REQUIRED to create an account.


There are 2 ways of creating your Google Calendar account.

1. Create it by using your GMAIL account (just 2 easy steps)

2. Create it by using your other EMAIL account (not recommended)


I will only discuss the easy way.


Step 1. Login using your Gmail account.


Step 2. After you click “Continue”


Done! As I told you. It’s easy.


Now, let’s create an event.


Before you enter your event, you need to select your Country and Time Zone first.


Click “Settings”


Yes, This! Click HERE.


Then, select Calendar settings


This will appear. Calendar Settings-General


Select you Language


Example: English (US)


Or Filipino if you want it in Tagalog


Then select your Country. Ex. Philippines (Pilipinas)


Choose Philippines if you are in the Philippines


But if you are a Filipino in Australia, select Australia.


Selecting the Country will automatically

configure your time zone


If you select Philippines, time zone will be (GMT+08:00) Manila


If you’re in Australia. Of course you select you own time zone.


Say you’re in Melbourne, Sydney. Select Melbourne, Sydney.


You can also put a Label in your Time Zone. Let say “Sydney” for example.


Let’s assume you’re in the Philippines, so you put Manila.


…and let’s say you have a business clients already.


He or She is in Melbourne, Sydney, Australia.


…and you are in Quezon Province, Philippines (for example)

Or you are in Zambalez, Philippines.


Or you are in Baguio City, Philippines.


Or you are in Banaue, Ifugao, Philippines.


Or you are in Sagada, Philippines.


Or you are in Ilocos, Philippines.


Or you are in Laguna, Philippines.


Let’s go back to our Tutorial.


Where are we?


ok…and let’s say you have a business clients already.


Try to check “Display all time zones”


Click “Show an additional time zone”


Select your Client location (He’s in Melbourne, Sydney right?)


Again put any label you want, ex. “Sydney”


Then, scroll down and click “Save”


Did you notice this? Sydney and Manila?

Manila = Default Time ZoneSydney = Additional Time Zone


Try to go back to “Calendar settings”


Click “swap”


Your selected time zone will swap.


Scroll down and click “save” again.


Did you notice this? Sydney is now your default time zone

Sydney = Default Time ZoneManila = Additional Time Zone


That’s the function of “swap”.

Now, go back to your calendar


Notice that Sydney is 3 hours ahead of Manila.


That’s the advantage of including additional time zone.


You now have an snap shot of the time zone difference between you

and your client.


Now, let try to create an event. Click “Create event”


This will appear…


Fill out all the details regarding your event.


Once done, click “Save”


Very simple, right? you can now see your event.


You can view your events in “Day”


you can have it per “Week”


Or “Month”


Or even in “4 Days”


Or view it based on your all “Agenda”
