How to make life blissful andworth diamonds ?

It is a matter of common observation that,while the world is progressing so fast in

the domain of science that man has been able toland on the moon, his character and his ways oflife are going lower and lower every day. His dailydoings, his practical life and the condition of theworld in general to-day, are different from whatthese were in Satyuga (Golden-Age) and TretaYuga (Silver Age), or even uptil a short while ago,in the present Age-the Kaliyuga. The very atmos-phere has undergone a change so much so that,at present, nowhere in the world is left any sub-stance of happiness or any essence of peace. Inshort, we may say that man’s life has now be-come worth a cowrie or ‘worth a penny’ as theysay. It has become very object and worth a strawbecause he possesses neither any divine qualitiesnor real peace nor happiness.

To a large majority of people, the presentstate of affairs causes disappointment. They be-gin to consider why, even after all the strenuousefforts made by all sages, saints, religious preach-

ers and heads of various religions, extending overa period of about 2500 years, i.e. two eras, theworld has been undergoing an unceasing processof deterioration and we see no signs of its re-demption or reform even today. Others anxiouslyand pensively ask, “What is going to happen toman and this world ? How can reformation come? Is there any possibility of a change for the bet-ter?” Still there are others who ask, “If there isGod, why does He not set the world right ? If, asthe people say, He incarnates, why does He notcome at the present critical phase to teach menthe lesson of good conduct and thus re-establishpeace and prosperity here by putting an end tothe woes of the world?”

With reference to the above, we must sayplainly that, however greatly or highly placed aman may be, he does not have the knowledgeand the power to restore complete purity, peaceand prosperity to the world. Therefore, the sages,saints, savants, religious preachers, heads of vari-ous religions or men occupying high seats of po-litical, administrative or any other kind of author-ity could not fulfil this hope and ambition of man-kind. This task can be accomplished by God alone.He is the Ocean of Knowledge, and repository ofimmense peace and bliss ; He is Almighty and theUplifter of fallen and the Purifier of the sinful souls;

He is the Supreme Father and the Supreme Souland, being the giver of all good, is called ‘Shiva’or Jehovah. When God does this work, Kaliyuga,i.e. the Age of unrighteousness and sufferingscomes to an end and Satyuga, the epoch of com-plete righteousness and happiness, is ushered in.Mankind is lifted from out of waste into a worldof excellence.

Man’s life gets transformed from that worth acowrie to that worth a diamond. Thereafter, not atrace of sorrow or suffering is there in Satyugaand Tretãyuga—the first two epochs, ushered inby God.

And in the course of one cycle of time it isonly once, i.e. at the end of Kaliyuga when moraldegradation has reached its extreme and religionhas completely degenerated, then God Shiva, theSupreme Father, comes.

Auspicious AnnouncementWe have, therefore, pleasure in giving you

the auspicious and happy news that He, the Al-mighty Father, has been at this work now for sometime and, in the near future, man’s desire for peaceand prosperity is going to be fulfilled. You maybe surprised to have this news, but if you pauseand consider, you will find that the present-dayproblems and world-conditions prove by their very

peculiar nature that this is the time when His ad-vent or incarnation should take place to trans-form or reform the world. As you are well aware,Atomic weapons and Hydrogen Bombs are beingmanufactured only to cause Destruction. Degra-dation and sin are so much on the increase thatserious situations, and knotty problems, many ofthem all together, have arisen so much that onlyHe can tackle and resolve these. Under the presentcircumstances, it is surely the Supreme Soul, whois restoring to us, through Prajapita Brahma, ourdivine inheritance of purity,peace and prosperity.

To transform man’s present worthless life intoone that is blissful and worth a diamond, and totransmute the present Kaliyugi (unrighteous)world into the Satyugi (Super-righteous) one, ourmost beneficent Saviour, the Incorporeal SupremeSoul Shiva, has taught us five important thingsand has also explained us how to make these thepart of our life. It is these five easy but invaluablethings that form the subject-matter of this book-let.

Attention onour Day-to-day life

In order to elevate the self and to make hislife worth a diamond, a man should be

vigilant about what he thinks, speaks or does. Heshould perform the day’s task with the care that isexpected of a knowledgeable man or a Raj-yogiand should employ introspection. A man who doesnot care to examine his day-to-day life, goes outof gear and his samskãras become vitiated andhis mind gets abased and his morality degener-ates day by day. Here is a good outline of theday’s programme which one can adopt for hisbetterment.

(1) Early-RisingTruly speaking, it is very good to wake up at

3 a.m. At that time there is silence in the atmos-phere, the mind is also free from worries of daylong occupations and is fresh and calm after a fullnight’s sleep. It helps to engage the mind in thesweet remembrance of God and to have fixity inthat blissful state at that hour so that one feels tohave enjoyed enormously. Though one may have

to forego about an hour’s sleep thereby, the ben-efits one derives from this little sacrifice are con-siderably great and valuable. But, if for any rea-son, one cannot daily get up at this hour, oneought to be at 4 a.m. for, if one is serious about sohigh an attainment, one would have to find outsome time for the necessary efforts and wouldhave thus to get up betimes. We can say withemphasis that, after a few day’s sustained efforts,it would be possible and easy for a man to get upat the fixed time.

(2) Our First Thought of the DayAs soon as the sleep is over and the eyes

open, the first thought that should enter the mindof a devout spiritualist should be, “I am a soul”.This does not take a long time but its influence isthere all the day long. One has not to leave thebed, the moment one is awake and has not toengage his mind with some worldly thought orwork immediately, but, sitting up at ease, oneshould spend a few minutes in this contempla-tion; “I am a soul, a conscient dot of light. I am achild of Shiva, the Supreme Soul, who is the Oceanof Knowledge, Peace, Bliss and Love, who doesgood to all and grants them peace and happiness.Like Him, I should also be instrumental in doingspiritual good and bringing transcendental happi-

ness to others. I came into this world from a higherworld, called Paramdhãm or Brahmlök which ismy original Abode and where purity and peacesupremely prevail. After my advent into this world,my life was pure and divine and was replete withcomplete happiness and peace in the first twoeras. That is to say, my life in Golden Age(Satyuga) was worth gold and, in Silver Age (TretãYuga) it was worth silver. I had then deity-statusand self-rule and was untouched by any sorrow.In Copper Age (Dwãpur yuga) and Iron-Age (Kaliyuga) I was a devout worshipper and did havehappiness in some measure or of some sort. Nowin this present Age, the Sangam Yuga (Period ofConfluence), I, having been inducted into GodlyKnowledge, have had an extraordinary birth. Ihave now understood this thoroughly well that Iam a soul, i.e. a point of light, this body is just aninn for me, I am a child of Almighty God FatherShiva and I am now soon to return to my originalAbode—the Soul World (Param Dhãm). I am for-tunate that I have established my link with Him,the Supreme. It is wonderful indeed to have rela-tionship with Him. Verily, and most fortunately,He is my Father, He is my Teacher and He is myPreceptor, all in one and, happy for me, He isleading me out of this terrestrial world to the Worldof perfect silence, i.e. the Soul World and, from

there, to the World of Beatitude and Fruition orwhat is called Heaven (Vaikuntha). What a luckthat I am now a spiritually adopted child ofPrajapita Brahma, i.e. I am a true Brahman, byvirtue of the invaluable Knowledge I have heardas spoken by God Shiva, the Knowledgefulthrough the mouth-organ of Brahma and am nowon the way to rendering my life excellently pure,brilliant and valuable like a jewel by dint of thisKnowledge & Raj Yoga.'

Having meditated for some time on thesesweet and deep thoughts, one should attend toone’s daily needs and, after ablutions, have an-other quiet sitting in the keen and single-pointedremembrance of God, the most beloved Father,till the time for moving to the nearest spiritualService-Centre comes. One must have regard forattending his class at the Service-Centre as com-pulsory. One must not give in to laziness or sleepbut consider class to be an indispensable andnecessary means of securing the valuable gemsof Godly Knowledge and the only means of ac-quiring peace and happiness for several lives at astretch. This daily spiritual class is really not to bemissed, for it provides the essential strength—giv-ing food for the soul and also a purifying bath forit.

(3) Daily Practice of Yoga and Study ofKnowledge in the Spiritual Classes

When in class, you should, first of all, com-pose yourself and should then set your mind inthe remembrance of the Incorporeal Supreme Soul,who abides, in Paramdham and is like a shiningstar, a sentient point-of-light. Then you switch onto the experience of peace, might, light and pu-rity and establish yourself in that state. There isimmense joy in that uninterrupted remembrancewhich replenishes the soul with strength enoughto give you such joy, power, refreshment, andzeal for the whole day as were never there onland or sea. Then you should listen, with raptattention and due reverence, the Godly Knowl-edge given to you in the class and should, like agood student, note down the important points inyour note-book and, when there is time, shouldgo through them again. Whatever teachings, cau-tions, directions and instructions there are in thediscourses of Knowledge which God Father Shivadelivers for the betterment of mankind, we shouldapply to our ownself, never forgetting that wehave to throw out our defects like useless stonesand have to bedeck ourselves with the jewels ofmerits. We have to look on ourselves as studentsof Godly Knowledge not only when we are in theclass but outside also and later on also. We are to

consider ourselves as lucky sons and pupils ofGod and also, as genuine seekers after divine sta-tus, should put in our best efforts to rise in lifeand to set an example by leading an ideal lifepractically.

(4) Spiritual EndeavoursAfter class, our immediate domestic duties

have to be attended to. So, we get engaged inthem and then have our breakfast or meals so asto get ready for the day’s task. Now, while at mealsor breakfast we should not lose the link with GodShiva but should enjoy the ecstasy of His remem-brance and should contemplate the divine quali-ties. Our food should be Sattwic, i.e. clean andconducive to the purity of our mind and shouldbe based on principles of vegetarianism and hon-est earnings. And while taking it, we should thinkthus, “I am having this from the stores that arededicated to Him, or from the pantry that actuallybelongs to Him. These meals are but the sancti-fied food (Shiva-Bhoga), these are the sacrosanctedibles (Parasadam) gifted by Him to me. Thiswill have salubrious and salutary effect on meand it will soothe and purify my mind and willmake me efficient in the spiritual service of man-kind and in the discharge of my duties ’’. We shouldnot eat with attachment or passion or as slaves totaste nor should we indulge in talk unless it is

very essential, but keeping fully conscious of thesoul and with our hearts set on God, we shouldtake food. It can bear repetition to say that, asmany times as we eat or drink we should do sowith complete detachment and as a trustee of ourbody.

(5) The Consciousness we should havewhile doing our Daily Work

Even while doing our daily work or busi-ness, we should remember that we are completelyHis and whatever we have with us is all His. Weare simply His instruments or trustees. While onGodly service, we should not have even a slighttouch of arrogance. We should not profane thisspiritual movement by yielding ourselves to sex-lust, anger, greed, attachment or pride but shoulddeal with people calmly and with sincere love,always being friendly and holy in all respects. Weshould perform our daily routine considering itas a part of the vast play which is being performedon the world’s state. When an actor is playing therole of a king, on the stage, he remembers that heis really not a king but Mr. so and so,that he actu-ally resides in such and such place and is the sonof Mr. so and so that, though he is wearing aking’s costumes and robes, all this he is doingonly as an actor in a drama and this part of hiswill last only for a short time. Even so, a person

now inducted into Godly Knowledge should thinkthus, “I am working as, say, a petty shop keeper ormay be as a high official or even as a businessman.The part I am playing as such is short-lived. I amvastly different from what I appear to be ; I am asoul, a self-luminous point, a child of the SupremeSoul and,in fact, I belong to Paramdhãm. Thesepeople with whom I have to deal, are in reality,souls, acting their parts here.” If we remember allthis, our mind will feel light as if the soul has with-drawn from the body, and we will become sweet,lovely and introvert and a mere trustee.

(6) Contentment and Non-EntanglementIn the world, as it is to-day, we have to face

many sort of difficulties and hardships in ourhousehold or professional life. Situations result-ing in gain or loss, success or failure, etc., alsocome and have to be encountered. Often thesedifficulties or adversities do not come alone butin battalions. But the man who has been intro-duced to this knowledge, should face these di-lemmas well. His duty is first to do what is properand what he can possibly do according to hisdesires and then, whatever be the result, he shouldlook upon it as the fruit of his own actions andshould accept it with contentment and cheer anda sense of detachment. Knowing that all this isbut a Drama, we should not be inwardly affected

by these situations.But all this is possible only if we are well-

established in the remembrance of God, the Su-preme Father, even while busy in house-hold orother duties. We should not wrongly believe that,while in the midst of our work, the mind cannotthink of Him or cannot have the link with God,the Supreme Father. When we know that we areHis children and are now to return to Him and torender our accounts to Him, why should we for-get Him ? When we very well know that in re-membering Him lies our spiritual well-being andour supreme good, why should we lose the men-tal link with Him? We should love Him truly anddeeply because He is the only one to release usfrom the dreadful claws of Death, give us peaceand happiness and lead us, as our righteous Guide(Sadguru), to the World of liberated souls andalso the world of Fruition. Man forgets Him onlywhen he, in his daily life, thinks that the dailywork he is doing is his burden or his concern.But we should remember that we are the instru-ments ; we should regard Him as the only One towhom we are bound. The other difficulties weface in our relation with other people are the re-sult of our accumulated actions, done by us dur-ing the course of so many past lives.

our communion with God, we should not ceasefrom endeavour, we should not dishearten our-selves with the wrong thought that all this is verydifficult or impossible to achieve. We must notfeel depressed if time and again we forget thesoul and our goal and our mind moves away fromGod and gets entangled in earthly things. Rather,we should think that our evil propensities, bornof ignorance, have taken deep roots and, there-fore, we have to intensify our efforts to wipe themoff now. Sadgati or the ultimate fruition is notachieved by shirking, shunning or declining totry. After all, efforts would have to be made toelevate ourselves and to improve our lot. So, nowthat the world is approaching Destruction and situ-ations have become critical and terrible, we shouldput forth our best efforts.

Even otherwise also when a man is face toface with a difficult situation or a calamity or seesDestruction approaching, he remembers God with-out any one’s asking and constantly too. So, nowthat we see Atom Bombs and Hydrogen Bombsstock-piled for Destruction and we also notice thestate of appaling poverty or national bankruptcy,critical stage of population-increase or frighten-ing problem of food, we have no reason not toremember God very deeply. Also, it would beharmful to make such lame excuse and say, “Our

problems are too hard and too pressing.” It won’tdo us any good to bemoan ; “Our circumstancesare not helpful and the environments are not con-genial.” Conditions as we see to-day are the shad-ows of the coming events ; they reflect an ap-proaching catastrophe. Therefore, they draw ourthoughts towards God. Still if we feel that the cir-cumstances are adverse, we should change ormould them rather than yield to them or to cryunder their heels. As a burning stick of incensemakes a whole room fragrant, so our persever-ance and constant endeavours, our Yoga and ourdivine virtues would soon render the world,around us, full of righteousness—this should ourfaith be and this should inspire our thoughts,speech and actions.

(7) Remembrance of God at least for afew minutes every hour

If even after all this effort, we cannot stabi-lise ourselves for a considerable period, in theremembrance of God, then, to begin with, weshould, necessarily find a few minutes every hourto contemplate specifically on our ownselves andto enjoy the bliss out of the remembrance of Godlovefully and devoutly. This is not asking for toomuch. Anyone should be able to do this. Whenour doctor asks us to take a small dose of a par-ticular (homeopathic) medicine every two hours,

do we not, with a view to recovery, take care toremember this direction and take the medicine atthe prescribed interval ? In the same manner, weshould not forget to remember God for a fewminutes every hour, for, this remembrance is sucha unique medicine as brings a man completehealth, wealth and happiness for several lives. Dowe not observe that he who is addicted to a cer-tain habit, say chewing a betel-leaf, easily remem-bers it and takes it every two hours or as often ashe likes? Why should not we, on our part, culti-vate the clean habit of remembering often as welike to ? This habit does not cost us anything butit brings us happiness and strength. It has beenperfectly and rightly said that all kinds of intoxi-cation are harmful but the one that comes of re-membrance of God and our deity status or ‘ShriNarayanahood’.

In the course of a day, several jobs we workon, do not absorb our full attention and our wholeintellect. In-doors or out of the house, in what-ever work we are occupied, we can set our mindon God if we care to. Unfortunately, man doesnot heed this and, while doing his day-to-daywork, his mind entertains useless thoughts. Noth-ing else but if we utilise well the small intervalswe get frequently in the mid of our work, or be-tween one piece of work and the other, even then

we can improve the chart of our Yoga highly.That is why God Father Shiva says, “Dear

Children, if you cannot remember Me constantlythe whole of your time, you may give Me at leastthe time that you would squander away in gos-sip, in useless contemplation or in other such trashwhich result only in harming you. Consideringthat you spend, say, eight hours at your job or inyour vocation and about this much time in sleepand other daily needs, you have still eight hoursleft which you can spend in deep spiritual medi-tation.”

(8) Our Efforts in the EveningHaving acted thus during the day-time, now

after return from our shop, office or factory as thecase may be, our professional duties being over,we should rest a while, or attend to householdjobs, have a wash and, drawing in our sense-or-gans like a tortoise, sit alone or with members ofour family in the sweet remembrance of God, theBlissful Father. If we mould ourselves in the man-ner and make our endeavours as has been al-ready indicated, our mind will not wander like ahorse without reins, running aimlessly in all di-rections. He who can detach himself from thesense-organs of his body, and draws his mind in-wards and tries to be fixed firmly in the deep andloveful meditation on God, alone attains success

in Yoga.Practice of Yoga in the evening has its own

dividends. It gives the mind a feeling of freshnessand makes one’s thought pure and inclinationsrighteous. So, we should follow it as a rule tohave Yoga in the evening.

Then we have to have our supper and haveto attend to our duties of the household and tothe society because these are also obligatory. Butthis does not imply wasting one’s time in gossipand useless conversation and sundry useless top-ics. Well, if one feels that some sort of entertain-ment is needed, let it be of a kind that does notleave behind it any evil impressions on our mindor lead to bad habits.

Then about 10 O’clock in the night, after hav-ing a talk or a chat about Godly Knowledge, weshould be ready for the night’s rest. Here, for oneshort while, we should remember our belovedAlmighty God-Father.

Going to sleep with thoughts of Him makessleep Sattwic (righteous) and keeps it free of anydisturbances by the old samskaras (resolves).

Next morning at 3 or 4, we should be upagain and should automatically remember that weare souls and we should also meditate on Godand only, thereafter, start our day’s work.

Acquisition of Divine Virtues

We can make our lives worth a multi-million diamond if only we cultivate

divine virtues in ourselves and renounce the eviltendencies we have already acquired. We shouldknow it in no uncertain terms that it is the devil-ish tendencies in us that have made our lives vi-cious, unhappy and sorrowful and have renderedthese worth a cowrie. We should also note that,without paying full attention to the twin efforts ofacquisition of divine virtues and renunciation ofdevilish qualities now, our cherished wish for un-disturbed and steady Yoga with God, the SupremeFather, cannot be fulfilled and we can’t be able toexperience the bliss and extra-ordinary joy of ayogin’s life. Hence, if we are really serious aboutgetting the bliss and calm in our present life andfor attaining perpetual peace and deitystatus infuture, it is essential to make earnest efforts toacquire these divine virtues. We shall now men-tion some of these divine qualities and the easyway to inculcate these in us.

(1) Purity and Control over the SensesPurity comes at the top of the list of divine

qualities. Only a pure one can invoke God’s

kindest affection on him and can secure His pro-found love and full blessings. Therefore, one wholoves God should know that God would love himif only he has purity of heart and if only he keepshis body clean and observes purity in monetarymatters also. So, we should care to have physicalpurity as well as the purity of conscience or thespirit. Everytime after returning from the wet closet.i.e. after defecation we should have a bath orshould, at least, clean the body with a wet toweland should change our clothes. For purity of mindwe should take only simple and Sattwic food. Weshould keep our mind un-entangled and free ofunclean thoughts and the most important thing isthat we should observe Brahmcharya. Pure like alotus should our life be.

We can soon reach the highest stage of pu-rity if we keep mainly four points in our mind.First, while engaged in our daily routine and inthe performance of our worldly duties, we shouldclearly keep it in our mind that we are KarmaYogis. It means that we should remember that weare not to be merely doers of action but also to beYogis at the same time, i.e. our way of life has tobe different from that of Bhogis or the carnalminded persons. We should not miss this impor-tant fact that we are now willingly and voluntarilybound by some rules of spiritual discipline or code

of purity for our own betterment and that we areto observe abstinence as is expected of any trueYogi. Secondly, we should regard ourselves asstudents of Godly Knowledge not only when weare studying at our spiritual centre but also whilewe are busy with our house-hold jobs, social ac-tions or professional duties. This would enable usto be always receptive to virtue and would giveus strength to discard the evil and to face the testsand trials like a student answering his question-papers in a test. Thirdly, we should keep the con-sciousness that we are the sons of God Shiva whois Supremely pure and that, as such, we oughtnot to do anything which is not expected of aperson having such high connections or relationsor whose Father holds such a high position.Forthly, our mind should not lose sight of the factthat we belong to the dynasty or lineage of ShriLaxmi and Shri Narayana or Shri Sita and Shri Ramawho are so well known for their pure and lotus-like life and that shame would be on us if weviolate the noble traditions set in vogue by them.The thought of all the four or any one of thesefour tips to purity should occupy our mind, elsewe won’t be able to make any progress on thepath of purity. But, if inspite of our best efforts,any sort of corruption enters our mind, we shouldnot allow, under any circumstances, an evil act to

be committed by our body-organs. We should keepour physical organs under perfect control lest weshould be further adding to our Karmic debts andbe allowing our impure thoughts to take deeperroots in our mind.

We should now always have this as a con-stant reminder that, since we have now made thechoice of dedicating ourselves to God, we are tohonour the covenant with Him, which means thatwe cannot now see any one with eyes taintedwith sex-lust, anger, greed, attachment or ego. Weought not to use our mouth-organ for utteringany words of abuse, malice or slander or to talkin a vile and vulgar manner. In short, we oughtnot use our any body-organ for any such vices.We ought not do any act of causing harm of griefto anyone. Otherwise, after having obtained GodlyKnowledge if we indulge in any evil acts, we shallhave to suffer severe punishment—with anoverplus.

(2) InwardlinessNo doubt, every divine virtue has its own

importance but then the importance ofIntrovertness or Inwardliness is very great. Thevery purpose behind giving spiritual Knowledgeto man is to enable him to turn his mind inwardtowards the self (soul) and, thus, to get immersedin spiritual bliss and peace. Now what is meant

by Inwardliness ?Surely, man is said to possess the quality of

Inwardliness if he meditates on the soul that abidesin his body and thinks fondly of God, the Su-preme Father of the soul, and lends his ears onlyto such talks as can bring about his spiritual bet-terment and looks on other beings as dear soulsand their bodies as their tabernacle or vehicle. Hewho does not possess this quality of Introvertnessis one from whose view the soul is shut out. Themind and senses of an extrovert man runs wildlyin following the passions or after the worldly ob-jects. He feels irresistibly drawn towards the grossworld of names and forms and is overcome byinfatuation and allurements and incurs sins thusadding to his old Karmic debts which also re-main uncleared. On the contrary, he never strayswho concentrates his mind lovingly on AlmightyGod Father and on the soul, after having acquiredtrue Knowledge about both. He is not shaken oraffected by Maya. If anyone speaks ill of him ortreats him with jealously, hatred or anger, he doesnot get agitated. If a man admires him and tries totempt and allure him, he does not get ensnared,rather he maintains equanimity and purity of mindas if he was not listening to what is bad. He re-mains undisturbed or unmoved because he is onthe terra firma of an extra-ordinary joy or spir-

itual exaltation. Such an introvert one, by dint ofhis good habit of being set in thought of the soul,finds it sweet to remain soul-conscious and de-tached from the body and he is not touched bythe viles of the wicked or the malice of the evil-doer. Hence, peacelessness, sorrow or discontent-ment cannot reach him. Since an introvert personneither pays any attention to evil talks of othersnor he himself speaks evil nor does he plan or doan evil, his soul finds unto itself the gems of calm-ness in the ocean of peace like a swan picking, asthey say, only pearls in the calm waters. So, now,it is incumbent on us that we should also adoptthe jewel-like priceless virtue called “Inwardliness”and make our life also invaluable like a string ofdiamonds because, it is doubtlessly true thatinwardliness brings tolerance with it and thesemake our life divine.

(3) ToleranceIf in the Path of Knowledge certain adverse

situations, such as criticism and even slander, arisewe should think that in toleration lies our well-being, for such situations work like tests and theyenable us to see if there are still left in us anytraces of anger, prejudice, hot temper or obses-sion. These also enable us to know if our love ofGod is so weak that, in the face of small trials ordifficulties, we deviate from Him or from the ideal

He has placed before us. So, we should not feelannoyed or disturbed but endure these if we trulylove Him. We should think that, if for the sake ofour worldly friends and relations or for attainingsuccess in any small undertaking in life, we en-dure a good many difficulties, can we not endurea little out of our love of Him who is our mostBeloved Father, and for our own spiritual progressand for gaining lasting good in the future ? Fur-ther, if any hardships or trying situations arise andput our body, mind and monetary resources un-der a great strain or put our dedication to test, weshould learn to face them cheerfully, remindingourselves that, after all these are the result of ourown past actions. “Why should not we face themonce for all and get rid of these ?”—this is whatwe should tell ourselves. We should not get an-noyed or enraged to see or think of others’ de-fects or bad ways. We should, on the other hand,place before us the aim that we have to make ourlives sublime, i.e. worth a diamond and, there-fore, we have to be recipients of virtues only and,so far as the vices are concerned, we have to actas abnegators.

(4) Receptivity to VirtueWe should give ourselves the understanding

that everyone has not all the vices and defects butsome virtues or merits also in us and that we, on

our part, have to look only to the merits so as tocultivate them in ourselves. We have to be thechoosers not of evil or defects of others but to berecipients of the virtues only because virtues arethe gems to us. Man does not know when Deathwill prevail on him and, therefore, we should notthink of others’ faults lest we should be at thetether-end of our life now and should, by our badhabit of fault-finding incur damnation of the souland invite woe and sorrow on us in our life, afterdeath. Faults or bad acts of others will bring fit-ting punishment to them but we should not beexercised over them, for if we also look to thevices, we shall also be liable to be subjected topunishment. We should not mark others’ evils in-tently and should not feel pricked by the defectsof others but should, as true Yogis, be alwayscheerful and happy and should be gentle towardsthem. We should be their well-wishers and shouldmake efforts to help them to get rid of their short-comings rather than ourselves feel wounded. Ifever some defects of others happen to be cap-tured by our attention, we should use the occa-sion to see if that defects is not somewhere lurk-ing in us. We should tell ourselves that we are theaspirants of the qualities that God, the SupremeFather, has; we are not out to acquire the vicesand viles of man. Evil qualities are the blemishes

which we now wish to wash off; why should thenwe look to devilish-qualities ? We have now dedi-cated ourselves to God; so, we should not nowincur the sin of entertaining the thoughts of oth-ers’ faults or their bad qualities.

(5) Surrender to GodThe most effective means of eradicating vices

and demoniac tendencies is to be dedicated orsurrendered whole-heartedly to Him who is theSupreme Soul. Without any hesitation, i.e. with-out thinking too much of what I am at present, Ishould consider that, from this moment, nothingis mine, but what ‘I’ and ‘mine’ stood for oncehave now been all surrendered to Him. I havenow firmly to feel that body, mind and every-thing is His and now I have to use these as Hedirects.

Who-so-ever now wishes to make his lifeworth a diamond, i.e. an example of excellence,must surrender his present worth-a-farthing lifeto God and consider that hence onwards, what-soever he has, he would hold it only in trust andwould put these to use as his duty demands andfor Godly Service only and, as such, he would actin a chaste and a viceless manner. Thus can aman get rid of his attachment to his body, habitsand wealth and can shed all delusion that thefactum of relations and friends ordinarily brings

in. Otherwise, his mind will ever return to theseworldly and fleeting things and will not have sta-bility in God’s remembrance. It should be bornein mind that, in order to obtain release from at-tachment, one need not renounce one’s home,relations and wealth and go to a jungle but thebest way to be rid of them is to surrender com-pletely to God and to consider one-self only as aninstrument in His hands and to give up thinkingthem as our own. Thus will vice and bitterness inour habits get wiped off, making room for purityand sweetness of nature.

(6) SweetnessGodly Knowledge brings sweetness in our

manners and behaviour easily and naturally. Infact, the very purpose behind the study of GodlyKnowledge is to drive away Maya and the bitter-ness or the poisonous effects that Maya entails.But this sweetness can come about only if a manviews this world as one great Drama and consid-ers himself a spectator and thinks that whateveris happening is happening according to a prede-termined World Plan and everyone is playing hispart according to his own varied inclinations orsamskaras. A person who looks upon the worldthus, understands the most valuable secret behindit. Such an enlightened one does not behaveharshly towards others. On the other hand, he

gladdens them with the sweet notes of GodlyKnowledge, the soothing talks of divine virtuesand the happy narration of God’s wonderful waysand, thus, he tries to do good to them. Being him-self enraptured with the Godly Knowledge, hethrills others as well. He does not fling harsh wordsor hurl bitter tones which may hurt others likestones. Instead, he speaks to them in words sweetand soft as flowers with which people would liketo fill their laps.

The bitterness in man’s nature is due to thevices in him. He speaks to another person out ofanger, excitement or hatred only when he believesthat person to be his enemy, ill-wisher or onewho is bent on harming him. But when, by ob-taining Godly Knowledge, he grasps this impor-tant truth that it is one’s own vices and bad ac-tions that are one’s enemies and that the bad ac-tions which take the form of harmful events andconfront the doer through the instrument of oth-ers; he ceases to regard others as his enemies.Then, he tries to mend himself and to infuse right-eousness into his future actions and to overcomeMaya, the real enemy, by bringing in to his aid,love, good intentions and other virtues. With hissweetness and happy nature he attracts others andthus tries to draw their attention towards God,the most beloved Father.

(7) Delight-fulness or CheerfulnessNow that we have acquired the knowledge

and faith that we are children of God who is Allpowerful, the Lord-Father of the three worlds, theFountain-head of all happiness and peace and thegiver of the deity-sovereignty in heaven, we shouldnot pull a long face or be sad or worried. Nowthat we have learnt that the All powerful God,our Supreme Father and our Preceptor is leadingus to the World where peace and happiness nevercease to exist, our joy should be unbounded. Thereis no reason to be wearied since we are now lead-ing chaste and viceless life and are engaged inthe noblest effort of being ever in tune with Himand are always working for a most shining futureand are most lucky to be in touch with God. Ifever we are confronted with any accident, illnessor loss, we should draw upon our reserves ofKnowledge and look on these accidents and dis-eases as paying now their last call. These are surelygoing away for ever as we have now found theright method of eliminating them with Yoga. So,thinking that we are getting square with our pastactions which are our creditors and that the loadof past actions is speedily dwindling to zero andthat these are soon going to leave shadowing us,we should be cheerful and joyous. Our only careor concern should now be to make ourselves,

and others more and more pure, righteous andvirtuous. He who is concerned and devoted thus,has no time to give to worries of other kinds. Ifone muses on Godly Knowledge, where is theoccasion for any other worry getting into his think-ing ? He is ever sustained and stabilised in thestrength he draws from faith in God. Without anyfear, he is attentive towards his spiritual endeav-ours and enjoys divine bliss.

(8) FearlessnessHe need have no fears who has found ref-

uge or asylum in the Supreme Father and hassurrendered all that he is or has unto Him. Heneeds no fears who wishes. others well and isoccupied in Godly service. Fears assail him onlywho thinks of himself as a body and who is deeplyattached to worldly objects and does not think ofhimself as a soul. Otherwise, he who realise uponthe Omnipotent Supreme Soul, goes about thewhole world fearlessly and with a stable mind.He keeps ruminating in his mind this lovely pointof Knowledge that what is to happen will happenand will happen as a result of his own past ac-tions and deserts and, therefore, he should not beafraid of whatever comes in his way but shoulddo his duty properly and should leave the rest tothe help of God, the Almighty Father. Thus hedoes not worry about the result but acts as a trus-

tee and looks on events and things as a detachedobserver.

(9) Nonchalance or Non-AlignmentConducting oneself like an un-entangled on-

looker of things and events makes one’s life verylovely and contented and gives one the feeling ofbeing just a visitor to this world. It is in the stateof non-prejudice and non-alignment with the grossand defiled that man’s judgement and reasoningalso works properly and efficiently. A man who isnonchalant and is an unattached on-looker is notaffected by the waves of pleasure and pain orrespect and disrespect. One who acts nonchalantly,experiences that extra-ordinary joy which even amillionaire, feeling entangled and deeply involved,can’t experience.

But man can feel non-aligned only if he looksupon this World as a Drama which is going onwithout interruption, though slowly, and in whichsouls, taking different corporeal forms and names,are playing their respective part and he no longerfeels any attachment towards them but is lookingon them as a spectator. Not only this, but he looksupon the events of his own future life also as theevents of a play. Thus only does he continue tobe in a state of bliss or divine drunkenness. Inthat state, every event that happens makes himthink that he has seen or played this part uncount-

able number of times through the aeons and thatonly the pre-destined is happening and that what-ever part one is playing now is getting automati-cally transferred to a scroll or a film of Destiny, soto say, which will unfold itself as an event againin his life. He takes a detached and non-alignedview of his own part as well as the part of othersin this World Drama. It means that, in his dealingswith others, he always thinks : “All my relatives,friends and others are, basically, souls but by hav-ing a body each, which is a dress of the soul; theyare donning various physical forms and appear-ances and are playing their respective part in thisvast Drama as co-actors with me, only for a while,in the present form.” When dealings with thembased on the record of Karmas shall have ended,and they will no longer be with each other in thisform relationship; and now the day is drawingvery near when this World Drama will be endedwith loud bangs of Atom and Hydrogen bombsand all of us having played our part full, wouldreturn to our Sweet Home—‘‘the Soul World fromwhere we have come”. Thus, he has it always inhis mind that the part he is playing now is the lastone in this cycle of the Drama which is coming toits final end. Because of such thoughts, his mindgets distracted and withdrawn from objects ofsense-gratification and he feels that he is risen

above from whatever is earthly and that he nolonger has any mental ties with this world. Hefeels that, just as a ship lifts up its anchor andleaves the shores so as to sail to the other side, healso has now weighed his mental anchor and isno longer tied to the shores of this sea of vices,i.e. this world, but is moving towards its goal.With a sense of humility he remains occupied inattaining higher and higher spiritual stage.

(10) HumilityBecause of giving adequate attention to moral

values and to ethical basis of his life and actions,a knowledgeable man knows that there are stillseveral defects in him that require to be elimi-nated or to be replaced by divine virtues and thata lot of practice is still required to attain stabilityand constancy in the remembrance of God, themost beloved Father. Thus, realising that he him-self has not yet attained alround perfection buthas certain deficiencies, he behaves with othersgently and with a sense of humility. He knowsthat others also are caught up by their individualSamskaras or tendencies and it will take themquite some time to change or improve themselves.On viewing the weakness of others, he does nottake air or pride about himself and does not feelimpatient or antagonised with them nor does hescorn them. On the contrary, he feels like offer-

ing his help to lead them out of the morass oftheir Samskara and therefore, he lends them hislove as a straw to a drowning person to catchupon and to move towards the shore of Godlyremembrance. If anyone points out to him hisshortcomings, he does not take offence. Rather,he takes it in good spirit and for his own ad-vancement and considers that man to be his well-wisher.

A man who has obtained Godly Knowledge,always bears this in his mind that, just as God, hisSupreme Father; is without any taint of evil orvice and is free of carnal desires, he also has tobe without any pride, evil or craving for sensualindulgence. There must be quite a large numberof people in the world who do not believe inGod or who ridicule Him or treat Him with disre-spect or desecrate and break His images. If God,the Almighty Being, had any ego or vanity, thenby such actions of those men His pride wouldhave been hurt and He would have been revenge-ful towards them and nothing could have pre-vented Him from bringing doom on them but, itis an undeniable fact that He is ever-free fromarrogance and vices and is, eternally, an ocean ofPeace and Bliss. In the same manner, if a personpossessing Godly Knowledge is ever treated withdisregard or, if his opinion is not given due weight

and acceptance, he does not feel his ego prickedor pride hurt because he has no vain pride in himand because he does not give any place to thewrong doings of others in his mind and he knowsthat the evil-doer will reap for his actions. Thus,knowledgeable man does not allow hate conceitor crookedness to come in but is straight-forwardand simple in his dealings.

(11) Simple-HeartednessGod, the Truthful and Ever-Pure Lord, is

pleased only with him who is simple-hearted,guileless, truthful and innocent. The more truth-ful, simple-hearted and straight-forward is a man,the deeper is his realisation of self and the clearerhis perception of God, the Blissful Father. It is theplain-heartedness of a person that draws othermen also towards him and attracts even God to-wards him. Therefore, simplicity or honesty orsincerity is the virtue which a man studying GodlyKnowledge adopts and values highly becausewithout the help of this Godly Knowledge, hecannot be lucid in his mind and cannot experi-ence the spiritual ecstasy.

(12) Conquest of SleepAs the Yogi’s or the wise man’s state of mind

rises higher and higher, so does his sleep becomelighter and lighter. So, we have to find out whetheror not we are overcoming laziness, lethargy and

habit of long and very deep sleep and we are tocheck this for the simple reason that our final testis approaching. A student is set upon workinghard over a subject in which he is weak and, be-ing thus determined, reduces the hours of sleep.So now, as we know that earthquakes, or naturalcalamities in any form, may occur any time or thework of great Destruction may commence anymoment, we must note carefully that during thesmall period of time now left, we ought to elimi-nate the Vikarmas, i.e. our past sins by devotingmaximum possible time and attention to the prac-tice of Yoga and then in the ensuing period ofSatyuga we will, no doubt, have perfectly peace-ful sleep. Sleep and rest are doubtlessly neededeven now for maintaining good health but theseshould be Sattwic in character and should not beso prolonged as that of a man who is under delu-sion and has not acquired Godly Knowledge. Ifwe get the habit of remaining asleep for longerthan usual, God too would decline to help us.May it not so happen that when the hour of De-struction finally comes, we are yet not alert, weare lost in deep sleep and are unable to hear God’swarning or call.

(13) Steadfastness, Self-Reliance and In-tense effort

luding ourselves with the wrong thought that sincewe are still aspirants (Purusharthi), it is only natu-ral that mistakes occur. By entertaining this thoughtthat we are still striving or that we are late en-trants on the Path of Knowledge as compared tosome others, we should not let ourselves downand should not go on committing mistakes. Tous, the word aspirant (Purusharthi), should meanthat we carry on with us the full responsibility tomake earnest and steadfast endeavours and whole-hearted attempts for eradicating the vices, con-trolling the sense-organs and stabilising ourselvesin blissful stages of Yoga. Hence, in view of thisresponsibility and taking note of the present criti-cal and crucial times, we must speed up and in-tensify our efforts.

If some how mistake is committed by us wemust firmly resolve not to repeat it. And, resolu-tion by itself not being enough, we must sit inloneliness and silence and see for ourselves wheredo our thoughts, attachments, desires, longingsand our tendencies go ? We should guard our-selves against a slowing down of our endeavoursand should discover if some attachment lies hid-den somewhere in us. We should not be late inthis effort lest we should have to repent.

Observance of spiritual rules

In order to make our lives valuable like thediamonds and our actions as bright as the

jewels and for enjoying the deep bliss of Yogaand for attaining the highest stage of Liberation(Mukti) and Beatitude (Jivan-Mukti) it is essentialthat we observe the spiritual rules which havebeen decreed by our Almighty Father throughPrajapita Brahma. Unless we observe these prin-ciples, we can neither progress on the Path ofKnowledge nor attain real peace nor spiritualpower.

(1) Observance of Chastity or ContinenceThe first and foremost of these divine princi-

ples is Brahmcharya, i.e. celibacy, purity or chas-tity. Without Brahmcharya one can neither haveany fixity and constancy in Yoga with God norcan one pacify anger and end other vices. It iscontinence that purifies one’s mind, sharpens one’ssense of right understandings and brings to manthat spiritual strength which helps him to con-quer vices and to endure and face the difficultiesthat crop up in the way of his communion withGod. enemy and regarding complete celibacy or chas-tity as our prime helper we have to drive away allconcupiscence and feeling of sex-indulgence fromour thoughts, speech and acts. We should under-stand it clearly and without any iota of doubt thatit is the enemy called ‘sex-lust’ that brings aboutthe downfall of a man from the peak of purity orfrom the status of a heavenly deity to the state ofan orphan and shortens one’s life besides makinghim cowardly, weak and lazy.

So, for our own good, now God, our Soul-Father addresses us thus, “O My Dear Ones" ! lifeafter life you have been following your bodilyparents in the sphere of vices and because of thesevery vices you lost the sovereignty of the ever-happy deity-world i.e. world of Satyuga and Tretayuga and are miserable in your present life also.Now I ask you to get from me, your Super-mun-dane Father, the inheritance of Purity orBrahmcharya. Life after life, you have been en-treating Me thus, "O Supreme Soul, you are theLiberator of the fallen, release us from these vices.”But, strangely enough, while I have arrived fromParamdham, My Abode on High, to give you re-lease, you do not like to, or do not endeavour toabandon them; I ask you to give up that which isbad and harmful but you sit supine, holding on toit ! Do you think you can cross this ocean while

riding on the back of a crocodile ?”

God has declared ‘State of Emergency’Be holy now !

Shiva, the Supreme Soul, who grants us well-being, says, “Dear children, the present is a greatemergency. The Destruction of the present Kali-Yugi (Iron-Aged) world is near at hand and verylittle is now left of this last life. I now ordain thatall of you should be pure and chaste i.e. shouldobserve Brahmcharya and should not allow thisarch enemy, the sex-lust, to enter into yourthoughts because I have to re-establish here theSatyugi divine Kingdom of Shri Lakshmi and ShriNarayana. Bharat, which has now become a placeof moral corruption and a house of prostitution,has to be transmuted into a citadel of Purity, fitfor the deities to live in. The collapse of the presentimmoral world is imminent and even that will nodoubt force the end of vices, but if you, of yourown free will and for the sake of having Yogawith Me, observe Brahmcharya, then in the com-ing divine self-rule, you will be entitled to deitysovereignty for two long Ages. Dear children, willyou not, therefore, give up this vice for even thisshort period that is left ? Won’t you, for My sake,sacrifice just this. Do you not love Me enough toabandon this dirty habit?”

God Father Shiva says, “My beloved children,the kind of conjugal and house-hold life you leadand manage now does not deserve the appella-tion “Grahastha Ashrama” (holy home-life) be-cause ‘Ashrama' means a ‘holy place’ or part of aholy life where as in this Kali-Yugi world of to-day, in every house, criminal assault with the dag-ger of sex-lust is taking place and corruption ofall sorts is rampant and moral rot is increasinglydefiling the atmosphere. In the true sense; thehouse-hold or family life of Shri Lakshmi and ShriNarayana and also of their subjects deserved thename ‘Grahastha Ashrama’ because there was notthe slightest trace of sex-lust in their life and pro-creation in that era used to be by dint of ‘YogaPower’. You should, therefore, be pure as yourthose ancestors were. Being God’s children, youractions should not be ungodly or demoniac. Nowyou should not take poison in the form of sex-indulgence nor serve it to others. Have, instead,the nectar, that is Gyan Amrit (the Nectar of GodlyKnowledge)”.

Taking these words of God as an essentialcommand of the great and good Father Shiva, oneshould follow these whole-heartedly, for in thislies the well-being of an aspirant of yoga. So, weshould now firmly resolve that, whatever mayhappen, even if we are cruelly treated and op-

pressed, we would follow His directives and ob-serve chastity and become eligible for entry intoHeaven. Evil (Maya) may storm my being manytimes in the beginning, but I shall hold on to myvow and do my duty, i.e. I would never abandonchastity and purity, because this is an enviablething or the most valuable treasure come to meas a gift from God. I will never break this vow ofBrahmcharya for I would not thus ruin my fu-ture and would not downgrade myself. Beforemy very eyes I see the foundations of Satyuga(Golden Age) being laid and its gates being erectedand the Satyugi (Golden-Aged) trees are withinmy view; so, now that very little time is left, shouldI turn away from high endeavour and degrademyself ? The great God has assisted me with HisKnowledge and the covenant has been sealed withHim. He is going to invest me with the diademand insignia of deity-Swarajya. Why should thenI make my record dirty and blemished and weara black mark of sex-lust, as it were, on the fore-head. I am now on spiritual pilgrimage to Shiva’sAbode, which is the real Amarnath-Dham , whyshould I violate the rule of chastity which is a‘must’ for my religious pilgrimage ? The SupremeFather Shiva or Rudra has now Himself taken in-carnation in this world and has started the holyRudra Gyan Yagya i.e. He has lit the holy fire of

Knowledge for the people to make oblations orsacrifices of their vices into it. I would not incursin by violating the purity of Bharat which hasnow become the place of this sacrifice or Yagya;I should not commit any sexual indulgence for itwould amount to an act of desecrating this placewhere the sacrifice is to be performed. I will nowobserve Brahmcharya in thought, word and deedand to the higher degree and will thus attain theimmortality like deities and take into possessionthe key to ever-lasting peace.

(2) Rightful Food—Sattwic DietWhat we eat has a great effect on the mind.

That food is not rightful which arouses passions,darkens one’s judgment or produces indolenceand inertia. Such a food is called Rajasic or Tamsic.The food which is not rightful (Sattwic) but Rajasicor Tamsic make’s a man’s mind unsteady and rest-less, his eyes criminal, his thoughts polluted, hisoutlook impious and tendencies unrighteous or itinduces sloth and sleep in him. Even a trifle wouldarouse passionate fury in the man who takes sucha food and he won’t be able to clearly differenti-ate between what is proper and what is improperand what is moral as distinct from immoral. He,whose food is not rightful and wholesome(Sattwic) cannot overcome vices nor can he ac-

quire constancy in Yoga.Therefore, if we desire to have the bliss that

Godly remembrance brings and if we are keen toconquer the vices and control the sense-organsand become Yogis then we must care to have arightful diet. It means that our food should besuch as has been bought with money earned byhonest means and should consist of those thingswhich are offered to the deities. (like Shri Narayanor Shri Krishna) in the temples.

At the same time we have to ensure that ourfood is not cooked by a person who is lustful,hot-tempered or irascible, for the state of mind ofthe person who cooks also affects the food evenas food affects the person who eats it. Food getsvitiated if one who prepares it, is vicious and sucha food, because of its potentiality for bad, is ren-dered unfit for one who practises yoga. We shouldtherefore, take food prepared by a person whoobserves Brahmchar ya and practises the remem-brance of God, such food would be of help to usin our spiritual endeavours. Also, as already ex-plained in Chapter II, while discussing how weshould daily check ourselves, we should be inloveful communion with God when we are at ourmeals. Thereby, our food shall get consecratedand purified and we shall not get engrossed inthe savour or flavour or what we eat.

(3) Righteous Company; Associationwith the Truthful

Somehow or other; sooner rather than later,man’s company does affect him. Therefore, heshould associate with only those who have faithin God, love Him and are in communion withHim so that our own dedication to God gets morestrength. If, however, in the course of our deal-ings, we have to meet the vicious, we should tryto see that our mind is attuned to the AlmightyGod, our Father, who is all Truth, and that ourtalks with them should also have the topics of ortouch of Godly Knowledge and Yoga so as tointroduce spiritualism in the atmosphere.

We should have nothing to do with obscenebooks and the cinema and should shun those as-sociations or person whose company may havean evil effect upon us, because, otherwise, manlearns from such engagements some evils whichit is very difficult to eradicate when once theyhave appeared in him. Besides, we should nowdo away with such literature and books whichthough known as ‘religious literature’ or scriptures,ridicule and slander deities and allege that vicesexisted in the lives of deities also. We should dis-card such literature as false and vulgar and giveup any kind of association with it.

(4) Bathing the Soul Daily with KnowledgeIn addition to the observance of the rules

mentioned above, we should bathe ourselves(souls) daily with Godly Knowledge because it isonly by that the soul gets washed of its impuritiesand becomes capable of acquiring the good quali-ties or divine virtues. When we listen to daily dis-courses or study Godly Knowledge, we are cau-tioned against bad ways and inspired to be chasteand to be always in tune with Him. If owing tocircumstances beyond our control, we are unableto attend to our spiritual classes, we should re-flect on what has already been taught us in ourclasses and should study the write-ups, cyclostyleddiscourses or printed literature based on Knowl-edge being revealed by God Father Shiva nowand should try to imbibe them in our practicallife.

If, in this manner we observe the rules men-tioned above and other such rules as command-ments of God, and if we take to Divine ways andmeans now being told by God Shiva, we shallcertainly find that our lives are becoming as re-splendent and precious as jewels.

The Importance of GodlyKnowledge and Faith

Careful analysis would reveal that the maincause for the lack or absence of happi-

ness and peace in our life is that man has forgot-ten all about what his ownself really is. He doesnot know the esoteric principles underlying thiswonderful World Drama. He is ignorant of theSupreme Soul and does not know the relation-ship in which he stands with others.

You may contend that everyone knows him-self, his father and his relationship or position withregard to others. Well, it is true but from a differ-ent point of view. Everyone knows the name andthe form of his body, the father or procreator ofhis body and those who are his bodily relations.But the greatest blunder is that man does not knowthe soul, the life-force or the conscious entity thatis there in the body but is distinct from it. Him-self, he is truly a soul and, as such, an immortalchild of the Supreme Father but, unfortunately,he forgets this and while dealing with others also,he does not remember to look upon them also assouls and as sons of God. In his day-to-day life,he gets oblivious of the fact that he is the son of

Him who blesses peace and happiness and is theOcean of love, nor does he remember wherefromhe has come, where he is bound for, what is thestory of the Drama of this world, what is the hid-den ideal of this life and what his actions ought tobe like. It is because man doesn’t know anythingabout these that the present-day world is out ofjoint and out of order.

Therefore, the welfare of mankind can nowbe achieved if only we have true knowledge ofourselves (souls) and also know our Father onHigh and our ideal in life and the secret of thecourse that our actions take. But, remember, mereknowledge of these is not enough, we must prac-tise what we know. Then only we will find achange in us and we will experience real happi-ness and peace.

Take the example of a child. Father tells him“I am your Daddy, this is your Mamma, that isyour brother. I am called so and so and my coun-try’s name is such and such.” The child does notkeep this information confined to his mind onlybut proceeds to apply this knowledge in his deal-ings or family life. Having understood his posi-tion or relationship, he works upon that under-standing, he puts it to use in his practical life and,thus, obtains his birthright, which, in this case,means title to his father’s property. In the same

way, it is not enough for us merely to understandwhat the Supreme Father tells us about His divinename, His Abode and immortal relationship withsouls. We should employ this Knowledge in ourpractical dealings and day-to-day life and our re-lationship with God should be practical and weshould practically respond His love. Then and thenalone can we acquire from Him our divine inher-itance of complete purity, complete peace andcomplete prosperity.

Faith in Godly KnowledgeTo be able to live and experience the sacred

Knowledge which God imparts, man must at alltimes, be established in conscious faith in thatKnowledge. Such an intentional or conscious faithwill bring a lot of change in his actions because,as the saying goes, ‘faith constitutes the very be-ing of man and a man acts as his faiths is.’ Youmust have observed that when a man believesthat he is a father or the head of a family, hisactions are like any father’s or the family chief ’s.This same man, if he happens to be a teacher byprofession, goes to a school with the thought orfaith that he is a teacher on duty, the result is thatwhat the does or says is like a teacher’s. Seatedamong friends, this same man talks unreservedlyas friends do among themselves. The conclusion

is plain : it is faith that determines our actions andone becomes what one believes in.

So, we can now make a real progress only ifwe have faith in the Knowledge given to us byGod Shiva through Prajapita Brahma. Till we havefaith in it, our spiritual endeavours will not havetruly begun even. We achieve only as much aswe possess faith. That is why it is said that thosewho possess faith succeed where as those whoare assailed by doubts certainly lose.*

Knowledge in the Form of Working FaithSo, even while we are engaged in our daily

tasks, while walking and talking, sitting or stand-ing, we should be well-established consciously infaith. It means that we should all think thus, “I ama soul, a luminous and sentient point, I am theson and scion of God who does good and grantspeace and happiness and is the Almighty Lord ofthe three worlds. I am not this body. The bodywhich I have is just a vehicle for me. I am theoriginal inhabitant of Brahmlok and am an undy-ing, immortal soul, a shining star and, on cominginto this world, I was wholly happy and pure andwithout any stain of vice and was defiled muchlater. I am here on the stage of the World Drama

to act my pre-determined part. I have to return tomy sweet Home at last which is where peacereigns. Therefore, here, while dealing with oth-ers, I have to be mentally detached or intellectu-ally un-entangled and dissociated because my re-lationship with them is momentary. Have I not toshed this mortal coil and to go back to my origi-nal form of light?”

“.....As I am a child of the Supreme Soul, whois all Light, divine and dot-like in form and who isthe Doer of good, I also should engage myself insuch actions as do good to others. Towards noneshall I be led by feelings of sex-lust, anger, greed,attachment, pride, jealousy, heart-burning, slan-der, violence, revenge, etc.; for I am not here towrong myself or others, because doing wrong andharm to others results in sinning against ourselvesand marring our own life. So, renouncing these,even though leading a house-hold life, I will setmy mind in God, I will not identify myself withmy body nor will I tie my mind to this body whichis but a cage made of flesh and bones. Now Ishall live in the uninterrupted bliss and the rap-ture that unshakable yoga brings. I shall performmy duties but shall not worry or grieve over theresults because I have to make my life bright andvaluable as a jewel; I have not to waste or ruinmy life after what is mere husk or a worthless—

aged), vicious and irreligious world is near its end.I see around me the unmistakable signs and alsothe material for Destruction. The symptoms of anunprecedented ‘civic strife’ and international nu-clear war are now clearly visible. To me this worldseems to be already falling. The very essence of itis gone, it has lost whatever moral content or ethi-cal basis it had. Why should I then get to like this‘dead’ mass and these ‘dead’ bodies. Why shouldI love or establish communion with all this “Malba”and carcasses. Why should I now not follow theline laid down by the Almighty-Father and loveHim fondly ? Why should I court destruction byturning my intellect away from God and instead,why should I not make my farthing-worth life nowvaluable as a diamond?.....”

“......I shall now keep conscious of the soulwhich I really am and having been fore-warnedof the coming destruction, I will do only that whichbrings good to me and to others. Well-establishedin the Godly Knowledge and the Raja Yoga asbeing taught to us by God Father Shiva, I willinspire others also on the path of purity and RajaYoga. Leading a life untouched by impurity orvices, like a lotus growing up out of mud thatsurrounds it, and established firmly in Yoga, I will

inspire others also to be in spiritual communionwith God. I, with all what I hold, i.e. with mybody, mind and money, shall now fully co-oper-ate with Him in His work of re-establishing theworld of righteousness (Satyugi Duniyã) whichwork He is presently performing.

Transformation in Life as a result of FaithThus, he who has righteous faith, succeeds

in the noble task of transforming his life because,when he lives the faith that he is a soul, he be-comes soul-conscious and sheds all attachmentor mental bonds even while doing his house-holdand other duties and, so, he is calm. Being him-self soul-conscious, he looks upon others also assouls and his dealings with them are guided bypurity and love. Just as a rough stone becomesrounded, having been licked into shape by thewater-currents rubbing it all over till it is turnedinto a lovely, rounded Saligram (image of a puri-fied and defied human soul) fit to be used forworship, so does man’s soul, being washed con-stantly by the streams of Knowledge, mentionedabove, become a real and living Shaligram. Sucha one becomes a Light House, a living shrine or amobile pilgrimage who purifies others and showsthem the destination and the way to it to enablethem to take the raft of life across the world. So,

one who holds on his faith in the soul and reliesand depends on the strength from God alone anddoes his duty well, his nature becomes righteous,his mind all plain and he is richly endowed withthe qualities of a Jeewan-Mukta and thus, his sus-tained and sincere efforts based on firm faith bearcropful fruit.

Just as a bumble-bee converts an insect intolike itself by constant humming and dinning intoit, so does he, who is busy turning over in hismind the Godly Knowledge given to him and isalso ‘humming’ that Knowledge unto others, surelytransforms his own samskaras and becomes di-vine. His faith and contemplation undoubtedly leadhim to a life where Knowledge rules and wisdomprevails. A man who goes to a temple to worshipand, there, prostrates himself and calls himselfmean and sinful, he not only does not becomepure but continues to be vicious and unholy be-cause he does not calmly contemplate his realand pure self and its worthy qualities nor does hehave unshakable faith in it. One who makes uphis mind to be viceless, does surely conquer vices.Does God not help those who help themselves ?

We must try our best to put into practice the four methods or lessons that

have been explained in the preceeding pages. Wehave to see at the end of every day how far wehave succeeded in our spiritual efforts. Just as agood businessman checks up, at the end of day’sbusiness, his income and expenditure, so we havealso to inspect our record of the day’s doings.Below are given a few questions which you canwrite up in the form of a chart.

consciousness and in Yoga with God whiledoing your house-hold duties and otherduties ?

Keen Aspiration

In order to engage into endeavours to obtain a thing or status, keen aspiration is

necessary for, otherwise, no whole-hearted effortscan be made. Further, it is natural that, to obtain agreat ambition of life, our aspirations should alsobe intense and great.

By the same logic, if one wants to communewith God or wants to attain God-realisation, oneshould first question ourself, “Do I really aspireHim heart and soul? Do I value the Supreme asthe highest ambition of my life and love Him most? Must I have Him at any cost and with whateverlabour?”

Most people in the world aspire God-realisa-tion, but feebly, and that is the first tumbling blockin their way.

Their aspirations are feeble because they havenever seriously considered as to what, after all,the goal of human life is. Therefore, they easilyforget that, by attaining to God, they will haveattained all. They do not value the Over-Lord ofthree world properly and, therefore, easily for-sake Him for ephemeral objects.

It is really very humiliating on the part of agrownup man to have not known even His Su-preme Father. Even a small child has proper curi-

osity for knowing and meeting his dad. Have weno affectionate love with Him?

Many people postpone the efforts for attain-ment of God-realisation for their old age. Theyfail to realise that death always visits by surprise.

Therefore, if one wants to meet God, onemust love Him from one’s innermost and deem itthe very Object of one’s heart, aspire Him mostintensely and be determined to attain Him at anycost. Then half the goal is achieved !

No matter how bad a person maybe, he must possess at least one

virtue. Be like the humming birdand pick the sweetness of virtues.

The Call

The Incorporeal God Almighty says, “DearOnes, you have been obtaining your per-

ishable inheritance of wealth, for one birth, fromyour worldly parents. But I am your ImmortalFather who can bestow on you the supreme sanc-tity, peace and prosperity for numerous lives. Youhave been obtaining worldly knowledge from yourteacher that enabled you to pass your one lifecomfortably. You have been obtaining peace fromyour preceptor for only one birth. But I am theSupreme Teacher who can bless you with SupremeProsperity for generations on end. I am the WorldPreceptor who am sought by all scriptures. I canbestow upon you Supreme Knowledge, Peace,Bliss, Might and Purity for 21 lives. Remember, Iam the Sole Liberator of all.

“If you aspire these, aspire Me. If you aspireMe, become Mine. If you constantly rememberMe, I will become thine. I am establishing Golden-aged Deity World. I want you to become a deityby means of Yoga. I want you to attune to Me byremaining Soul-conscious so that My Divine con-sciousness can descend down into you for theconsecration of your entire inner and outer Self.You keep in constant remembrance of Me. This isthe Yoga or the righteous path. I promise you
