HOW TO FIND YOUR CLASS TIMETABLE:

You can view your personal timetable through UACloud Virtual Campus when you are registered for the courses (course registration: after your arrival at the UA). Before registering for courses, it would be useful for you to find and plan your class timetable in advance.

Once you have filled in the UA online Learning agreement through your UACloud Virtual Campus, you can use each of your subject code numbers to find their timetable, as follows:

1. Go to the University of Alicante website, www.ua.es (1), and click on UACloud CV (2)

2. Enter your Username ‘XXXX@alu.ua.es’ (1), and password (2) and the button “Login”(3) to access the UACloud Virtual Campus.

3. On the VC Additional services app, click on “Sign in” (1).

4. From the menu on the left, select Secretaría Virtual (1), then Incoming Student (2)

5. Your online Learning Agreement online appears and you can see a list of your selected subjects and their code number.

6. Use the Course Search online, which will allow you to find detailed information about any course (subject) in the UA Course catalogue http://cvnet.cpd.ua.es/webuanet/buscador/buscadorAsignaturasNDOO.aspx?lan=E

7. On the Academic Year field, check that you select the academic year of your exchange (1). Enter the course code in the Subject code field (2) and click on Search (3). After clicking the link of the course (4) that appears at the bottom of the screen you will be taken to the course details page.

8. Here you can see the UA Degree programme the subject belongs to (1). From the menu on the top, select Groups (2).

9. Here you can see the groups of the subject. (Theory, problems, computer practicals, …). You can also see a VERY IMPORTANT THING: The language in which the groups are taught.

In this example we see that the subject has a group of theory class (1) A group of Problem practicals / workshop (2) A group of Computer practicals (3) The information is displayed in several tables, whose meaning is explained below:

The meaning of each field is as follows:

Group: Number of Theory and Practice (Practicals/Problems) class groups Semester:

1S (Sept-January) 2S (late January-June)

Morning or afternoon session:

Morning = Classes takes place during the morning Afternoon = Classes takes place during the afternoon

Language: Language of instruction CAS or not indicated= Castellano (SPANISH) ANG/ARA= English If offered, there is only one class group available VAL= Valenciano (Catalan) No. of enrolled students: It shows the number of students enrolled in the subject

Once you know the language in which the groups are taught, you can click on the Timetables section at the menu on the top (1), in order to see and choose the groups you want to enroll in.

10.- Now, you can see the timetable of the subject. The information appear in different tables which you can find explained below:

11.- In table A we see: The different components of the subject Theory Problem practicals/workshop Computer practicals When classes take place Morning Afternoon You must tick the group you want to enroll in.

In this example, we have chosen group 1. It is important that you tick the same group in all the components of the subject, because when you enroll in, the system does not allow mixing different groups.

12.- In Table B we see when classes of the selected group take place:

Group: Class group number

Start date: first day of class End date: last day of class Day: what day of the week the class takes place. LUN = Lunes (Monday) / MAR = Martes (Tuesday) / MIE = Miércoles (Wednesday) / JUE = Jueves (Thursday) / VIE = Viernes (Friday) Start time: class start time End time: class end time Lecture room: classroom/location. The location is indicated by an abbreviation. More information on the classroom is displayed when you move the mouse over the location code name, as shown below. In this example, A2/0D14 is classroom D14, in 1st floor at the Lecture Building II.

If you click on icon beside the classroom code, a new window will open where you could see where the classroom is located at the campus map.

13. In this table you can see timetable as a calendar:

Here you can choose if you want to see calendar for one day, or the whole week/month.

Clicking on the right arrow you will advance to the next day/week/month (depending what is selected. And clicking on the left arrow you can go back to the previous day/wee/month.

Clicking on the “Today” button you will see the day/month/week (depending you have selected) which contains the current day. If you click in the class timetable (1) or (2) a new window will open where you could see where the classroom is located at the campus map.

14. Regarding the Theory and Practice class, when choosing your options you should take into account that courses may have one or several theory and practical class groups available. You can choose any Theory class group, keeping in mind the following information:

14.1 There can be only one Theory and one Practice class group: when you enroll for this course online, the system will automatically register you into the same class group for both.

E.g. (if you choose group 1 for Theory, the system will assign you group 1 for the rest of subject components)

14.2 A Theory class group may have several Practice class group options available, e.g Theory group 1 > Practical groups 1.1, 1.2 …; Theory group 2 > Practical groups 2.1, 2.2 …. : after registering into a particular Theory group number, the system will automatically allocate you to one of the Practical class groups available for the same Theory group number.

(In case of timetable clashes after course registration, if necessary, you may ask to change a particular practical group allocated to you, at the UA Mobility Office. Changes will be subject to places available)

14.3 There is no association between a particular Theory class and the different Practical group options available. The online system will automatically allocate you into one of the Practical class groups.
