Timetabled Components

Shows the day and date of your exam





Shows the start time of your exam:

09:00 for morning exams

13:15 for afternoon exams





Shows the length of your exam in minutes:





Shows the exam board you are doing your exam with





Shows the level of the exam you are taking eg. GCSE





Matches the exam codes from your Statement of Entry





Tells you the exact exam paper you will be taking that day.

Eg: the unit, subject area and tier ie higher / foundation




Concerns with Examination Start Times:

If you have more than 1 exam timetabled to start at the same start time and:

1) The combined length of the exams is OVER 3 HOURS:

one of the exams will be moved, but will still be on the same day – you will receive a letter confirming the arrangements nearer the time

2) If the combined length of the exams is 3 HOURS OR LESS:

you will sit one paper followed immediately by the other.



Additional Information:Do not worry too much about the tier you have been entered for at the moment – there will be time to change this after the results of your Year 10 Internal Assessments

As long as you have been entered for all your subjects you are expecting to sit exams in this summer it will be possible to change your entry from higher to foundation and vice versa up until the 14th March without incurring additional administration fees from the exam boards
