We conducting our research by calling hundreds of HR industry members to get their opinions on the multigenerational workforce with regard to engagement.From our research we found that there may be different motivators to both engage and retain the different generations in the workforce.

Baby Boomers

Use extra paid vacation time in order to engage this generation

Gen X want a work/life balance
In order to retain Gen X, flexi time is usually offered
They wish to be more disconnected
Millennials
Millennials are looking for a quick promotion
By assigning mentors and allowing for quicker promotions gives reason to believe that their is a higher retention strategy among Millennials
