Getting Started

Sign into Gmail account. Click on upper righthand corner grid

Click YouTube icon

You’ll be asked to sign in again with your Gmail ID

and Password

Creating a Channel

Click on arrow at top of page next to Upload and choose Dashboard

Click on link to create a channel. You can create up to 50 channels, using Google+ pages.

You will have the option to create a YouTube channel from your Google profile (Gmail), or you can use a business or other name by using Google+ pages.

Click to set up channel with a Google+ page

Channel Artwork

Click on blue tab to add artwork

For Channel Art Specs

There are 3 options to add artwork: • Upload your own • Choose from photos you already

uploaded to a Google profile • Choose from Gallery provided

will choose a Gallery photo

You might need to adjust the crop

Drag to choose your cropping. Dark rectangle is where text should fall.

Choose select when done

Click pencil icon to upload profile photo

Take a photo of yourself, or upload an image

Click Finish when done

Fill out profile completely

A channel checklist is located in upper right corner

Channel Description & Links

Choose About, fill out Channel Description

using relevant keywords

Click Overlay box

Click Add to fill out Custom and Social Links

URL address

Choose Social site from drop-down list

Social URL Click Done to Save

Click pencil icon to edit/change channel art

Overlay links show up on Channel Art and in About section

Setting a Custom URL

Click on Profile icon

Choose YouTube settings

Choose Advanced

Choose Create Custom URL

Use Keyword Optimized Custom URL Be Careful—You cannot change it later
