add 1 tsp. salt to water per 1 cup rice
How to Cook Rice• METHOD 1: Pasta method– Place 1 cup rice and 1 tsp salt in rapidly
boiling water (refer to pasta notes)– Boil uncovered, check after 12 minutes– When tender, drain in colander, return to
pan, stir in additional ingredients– No more scorched rice/pan!
How to Cook Rice Method 2 Traditional(the old fashioned way)
Bring twice the amount of water (for example: 1 cup rice, 2 cups water) to a simmer (covered, high heat).
Add 1 cup rice, 1 tsp. salt, stir, cover. Simmer (watch out for boiling over!) until all
water is absorbed about 18-20 minutes. Fluff with fork, stir in additional ingredients. This method is great for using milk for a sweet
