DESCRIPTION

S.Khuntia, Ex-Chief Scientist of CSIR, Govt of India has developed a low cost biomass cook stove with chimney for community cooking in residential schools of Odisha, India during December 2012. It is being disseminated by Govt. of Odisha, India for reduction of firewood consumption and smoke & shoot in kitchen.This stove is reducing nearly 30% biomass consumption over traditional stove and kitchen is completely free from pollution & smoke. Health hazard is greatly reduced in schools during cooking.
