Our community is so fortunate to have PEOPLE LIKE YOU.With generous gifts of time, talent and treasure, you nurture the people and places you care about. You take delight and find joy in giving.

By leaving a legacy gift to your community through Housing Hope, you’re making a significant difference in future generations while experiencing the joy of giving today!

You do not need to be “wealthy” to consider a legacy gift; whatever your financial situation, there are gift plans to fit your needs. From very simple beneficiary designations that take five minutes to more complex strategies, planned gifts can offer important estate, financial and personal advantages.

We invite you to join our Society of Hope

Housing Hope loves to honor individuals who commit to investing in our families’ futures with a gift from their estate. Sadly, many of these meaningful gifts often go unrecognized because they aren’t disclosed until a donor passes on.

The Society of Hope is our way of celebrating your commitment to the future — today!

Joining couldn’t be simpler. Include Housing Hope as a beneficiary of a gift from your estate and notify us of your plan. That’s it! We’ll induct you to our Society of Hope and invite you to our annual reception.

Your Philanthropic Advisors

Housing Hope can work with you and your professional advisors, including CPAs, attorneys, financial planners and bankers to:

· Determine the type of gift to leave. · Show you the lasting impact your gift will have.

· Share information about potential tax benefits, and more. Let us celebrate you

When you give through Housing Hope, your gift stays in our community.

We are a well-established nonprofit impacting local

families right here in Snohomish County.

Since 1987, we’ve been providing a strong hand up to every family that aspires

to self-sufficiency by providing them access to

safe, secure housing that’s affordable along with a

suite of supportive services to help them overcome

barriers to housing stability and family health.

There’s no place like home

Amy passed away a year ago after sharing 70 years of married life with me. I can honestly say that, other than her concern for her family... nothing was more important than the success of Housing Hope. With the dedication of the other board members and the staff over the

years, she could visually see the success taking place each year and it only made her more determined to help Housing Hope move forward.Fortunately, we were in accord for that goal to be reached and knew that 100% of any monetary help would be used in doing so. We set up a family trust a few years ago and have a bequest in it for Housing Hope.

~ George Youngstrom

I became engaged in Housing Hope when I was a city councilmember and Ed Petersen came to me in 1987. Over the years I have served as a Housing Hope Board Member, Board Chair, the co-chair of a fundraising campaign, a member of the President’s Club, a committee member helping to create and publish the history of Housing Hope and a member of the Society of Hope. Then there is ChildHope and HopeWorks and no telling what Ed will think up next! Housing Hope always appeared to me to reflect the values of our community... tailor-made for Snohomish County. We believe in a hand up, not a hand out. We believe in local people helping local people to once again become members of our community. I am comfortable that the continuum of caring that helps those in need find housing, care for their children and, then useful work, will continue to be needed and to be offered by Housing Hope. I am pleased to be part of that future.

Thank you for being a philanthropist.A lot of people think you have to be rich to be a philanthropist, but that is not true. A philanthropist simply cares about others and wants to benefit them through giving. Your legacy gift may be modest... only your intentions need to be rich!

Making a legacy gift embodies your convictions and values while making a difference for others for years to come.

Housing Hope evokes a lot of emotion at our house. We’ve seen the growth and impact of their programs over the last few decades. We’ve known many of the staff and their high level of commitment and caring. We aren’t in a position to make a sizable gift right now, preferring to support Housing Hope through its traditional opportunities like Stone Soup. Still, the opportunity to indicate our support to this phenomenal organization in the form of a legacy gift is very attractive - and simple to do. So, we jumped at the chance to make our intentions known. The Society of Hope is a perfect extension of Housing Hope and has grown tremendously in the last ten years. The Society of Hope represents the commitment of this generation to the generations which follow. As parents and grandparents, we want to help ensure that our growing Snohomish County community will always benefit from the programs and services that Housing Hope provides. We know that the future for those who need help will be more certain because of Housing Hope. ~Ross&JudyRettenmier
