LARGE OUTDOOR ARENA RED RING Commencing at 8.30 AMCOLOURED HORSE/PONY CLASSES CHAPS "This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No. 19178

Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card.

The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 28th-31st August, 2019. Shows held on or after the Postal Entry closing date of Championship Show will count as 2020 qualifiers.The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers: Classes 61-66. For full rulings andinformation on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.Only Skewbalds/Piebalds may compete in these classes.All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). 1. The Promoters, Organisers, Committee and Landowners (’The Committee) shall not be liable for any claim in respect of any damage to any person, horse or other property of any land howsoever it may have been caused. It is an express condition of entry, that each competitor shall hold the Committee harmless and that he or she shall indemnity the Committee against any legal proceedings, actions, expenses, costs, claims, demands or damage whatsoever arising from any accident or other incident which may occur.2. All vehicles parked at their owners risk.3. Entries to be accompanied by the appropriate fee and will not be acknowledged unless an SAE is enclosed. Numbers to be collected from the Secretary on the day.4. No refund of entry fee unless the Show has to be cancelled for any reason. Should this be deemed necessary, the Organisers reserve the right to retain up to 50% of any entry fee paid to cover pre-Show expenses.5. The Judges decision is final.6. Any objection must be handed to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the alleged incident accompanied by a £25 deposit which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.7. No unauthorised person allowed in the Show ring.8. Hard hats to current safety standards must be worn at all times when mounted and by Young Handlers 9. No galloping allowed on the Show ground. This includes the parking areas.10. All dogs must be kept on leads.11. Foals must be at least four weeks old (shetlands three weeks) and accompany their dams into the Showing ring.12. All stallions and colts SHOULD be adequately bitted. Yearling colts may be led from the nose band with a bit in the mouth.13 Spurs at all times must be of blunt, smooth metal, no rowels, shanks pointing only towards the rear, curved downwards and must be no more than 3.5 cm long. 14. It is recommended that all entries have been inoculated against equine influenza.15. Information from entry forms may be stored on computer; information about results may also be published and/or provided to the Press and Breed Societies for publication. The making of an entry is irrevocable consent for the storage and disclosure of information in this way.16. All subcontractors exhibitors suppliers and stall holders must have suitable insurance in place.TSR Showing Finals- This show is a qualifier for the 2019 TSR Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, Norht West, North East, South East, South Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter horse/pony in any number of Finals. TSR Riders Finals 1st and 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward. See TSR website for details. BSHA Grass Roots Champs With a TSR qualification card, you can also enter BSHA Grass Roots Champioship on the 9th Sept. at Addington Equestrian Centre. SPSBS AFFILIATION RULES 2019 1. Classes must be confined to Registered Ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration (i.e. foals) 2. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc. 3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes. Children under 12 yrs old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 yrs or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden Classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.

National Pony Society Affiliation Rules 2019 Affiliation Number NPS Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain and Moorland Classes. To compete in Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony classes, ponies must be registered in the NPS Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members, but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show, 6th-8th August, 2019. Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) Show Number 19/0505/3/ULT TGCA TOYS In Hand and Ridden Classes Pure Bred classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's(TGCA) National Breed Championship Show “TOYS”.Classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs. Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at “TOYS”. The exhibit must have one parent that is pure bred traditional gypsy cob, a minimum of 50% breeding is accepted. Stallions–All stallions (pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST have be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations and their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members MUST receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Please refer to www.tgca.co.ukfor further details including membership, horse registration and showing rules (contained within the members handbook). Championship Shows 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship,provided they are current TGCA members and the horse is TGCA registered.Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. Go for Glory Championship - PB -1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA part bred classes may go forward to the Go for Glory Championship. For 2019 TOYS qualifiers, the handler/rider and exhibits (apart from stallions) do not have to be TGCA members/registered on the date of the show. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Crowning Glory Championships at TOYS.

Side Saddle Association Rules 1.All classes shall be ridden side saddle 2.Classes may be divided for the purposes of preliminary judging if numbers require3.Judges’ decisions are final 4.Entries close 26th April 2019. LATE ENTRIES will be accepted if classes are not already full, but at an additional cost(see H.O..P.E. Schedule) 5.The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and to alter, amalgamate or cancel classes 6.All dogs to be on non-extending leads 7.All competitors and those in attendance are reminded of their individual responsibilities with regard to Health & Safety, not only to themselves but others on the show ground.This responsibility extends to safe parking of vehicles and management of horses/ponies 8.No responsibility will be accepted by SSA Area 5 for any accident howsoever it is caused 9.FALLS: A fall of horse/pony or rider in any class run under Side Saddle Association rules will result in disqualification, and the rider must leave the ring dismounted. It is strongly recommended that medical advice is then sought before competing in any other class. 10.JUNIOR COMPETITORS (SSA Members or Non SSA Members): MUST have attained their 5th birthday and be under 18 on 1st January of the current year and MUST wear a correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hat that meets one of the following current Safety Standards in all classes affiliated to or run by the SSA: All PAS 015; VG1; ASTM F1163 04a onwards; SNELL E2001; AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards. In addition the new BS/EN standard will be allowed, once approved with the finalised number being advised in due course. 10.1. A Spur or Spur band is not permitted to be worn by a Junior in any class where jumping is involved. 11.
