STEP 4 - Make a cute teddy snout!
This is my secret t rick f or making a really cute snoutwhen I am making my t eddy out of f leece.
I save the piece of fleece that I cut out of the FRONT HEAD PIECE and use it as a backingfor Honeys snout.
With the head still inside out, sew this piece by hand over the opening to the snout (veryroughly no need to be neat!) You must leave a small opening to push the toy stuffinginto the snout area. This backing will hold the stuffing inside the snout so you can makeit nice and firm.
Fill the snout area VERY firmly with synthetic stuffing.
Stitch the opening closed when you have finished stuffing the snout really well. A nice firmsnout makes it easier to embroider the teddys nose plus it looks much more rounded andcute!

*** If you are using a non-stretchy fabric like cotton, you should be able to stuffthe snout nice and firmly so this step is NOT needed.

STEP 7 - Pin arms and legs to the body
Pin then sew the head to the body at the neck seam, with right sides together, matchingpoint G. (I find its easiest to turn the head right sides out first, then place it facing intothe body when you pin and sew the neck seam.)
Push the head back out of the body and sew the Teddy closed along the top of the TOPBODY PIECES and BACK HEAD PIECES.

Make sure the toes of the LEG PIECE are facing/ touching the table.
Pin the TOP BODY PIECES to the TUMMY PIECE, with the arms and legs pushedinside.(Roll them up nice and tight!)
Sew the TOP BODY PIECES to the TUMMY PIECE, from N L - N, remember to leavea gap open on one side, between one of the arms and legs so you can turn your teddyfor stuffing!

I have fai th that you wil l r espect the long hour s and creative energy that have gone into producing theF unky F r iends F actory patterns.
Thank you, Pauli ne.
Your HoneyTeddyis ready to love!
Turn your Teddy right sides out through the gap left on one side. ( between one of the arms
and legs.)
If you are using safety eyes, insert them before you stuff your teddy. If you are using beadsfor eyes, you will sew them on when Teddys head is stuffed!
Stuff the head with toy stuffing.
Sew two 5mm beads in position. (if you are NOT using safety eyes)
Embroider the nose with pink embroidery thread, using satin stitch to form an upside-downtriangle. If you find stitching evenly is too difficult, you can glue a piece of pink felt in positionfor the nose.
Fill the body, arms and legs with toy stuffing.
Sew up the openings on Honeys side, arms and legs using a ladder stitch.
Tie a cute ribbon aroud your teddys neck.
