Please consider these beautiful words by Thomas Merton:!!

TRUE ENCOUNTER WITH CHRIST LIBERATES SOMETHING IN US,!A POWER WE DID NOT KNOW WE HAD,!

A HOPE,!A CAPACITY FOR LIFE,!

A RESILIENCE,!AN ABILITY TO BOUNCE BACK WHEN WE THOUGHT WE WERE COMPLETELY DEFEATED,!

A CAPACITY TO GROW AND CHANGE,!A POWER OF CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION.!

!

Some of the Most powerful ways we encounter Christ is through the Sacraments! For example, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the chief exorcist in the Diocese of Rome teaches that the Sacrament of Confession is more powerful than the Rite of Exorcism. We see today, the Lord casting out de-

mons. Whenever we reverently accept Jesus in the Holy Eucharist we see demons fleeing from our soul!! !

!DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU PROFESS BELIEF THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD?!You profess your belief that there is only one God because God revealed Himself to the people of Israel as the only One when He said "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord" (Deut 6:4). Jesus Himself confirmed that God is "the one Lord" (Mk 12:29).!Catechism of the Catholic Church #200202, 228!
