The Act of Hope Prayer
Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
July 26, 2020
Dear Parishioners,
I will be hearing confessions Wednesday, July 29 between
6:00-7:00 PM at St. Luke, and Saturday, August 1 between 9:00-
11:00 AM at Holy Cross. I will be on vacation following that and
the next scheduled confessions will be at St. Luke on Wednesday,
August 26 from 6:00-7:00 PM following my return. Right now I am
hesitant to schedule confessions at Holy Cross for Saturday, August
22. It is a very long drive and I’m not sure of traffic. If I find out I
will be available I will send out a Flocknote.
The priest covering for me is at a much greater health risk from
the Corona virus and will not be hearing Confessions during my
absence. Similarly, please, do not ask them to give you the
Eucharist on the tongue.
Even though, since March 1, I have not had as many meetings
as normal, I have been doing a lot of different work and very much
feel the need for a vacation.
I will be celebrating Mass for you regularly and you will be in
my other prayers. Kindly keep me in yours.
Father Jim
