3M™ Scotchlite™ retro-reflective fluorescent lime-yellow trim greatly enhances daytime visibility, particularly in low light conditions at dawn and dusk, contrasting with the bright orange background of the Traffic Safety garment. 3M™ Scotchlite™ silver reflective arm and leg bands maximize the visual reflection of the worker's forms, further enhancing night time visibility.

3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective material consists of exposed wide angle retro-reflective lenses bonded to a durable flame resistant 100% cotton backing. The 3M™ Scotchlite™ silver retro-reflective arm and leg bands increase visibility and meets the Ontario Ministry of Labour requirements under Regulation 145/00 Sec. 69.1 (4) for night time work.

3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective material is a retroreflector. It reflects light directly back to it's source, therefore, you must be behind the light source to see the reflection. This event demonstrates the true value of 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective fabric in low-light conditions when a motorist behind the headlights of his vehicle or a searcher behind his flashlight, has the reflected light from the 3M™ Scotchlite™ trim returned to his eyes.

The Traffic Safety Garment, including the retro-reflective trim, may be home laundered or dry cleaned. Avoid hot temperatures and chlorine bleaches. 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective materials are both flexible and lightweight.

Ontario Ministry of Labour OSHA Regulation 145/00

Sec 69.1 (1) A worker who may be endangered by vehicular traffic shall wear a garment that covers at least his or her upper body and has the following features:

1. The garment shall be fluorescent blaze or international orange in colour. 2. On the front and the back, there shall be two yellow stripes that are 5 centimetres wide. The yellow area shall total

at least 500 square centimetres on the front and at least 570 square centimetres on the back. 3. On the front, the stripes shall be arranged vertically and centred and shall be approximately 225 millimetres apart,

measured from the centre or each stripe. On the back, they shall be arranged in a diagonal "X" pattern. 4. The stripes shall be retro-reflective and fluorescent.

Sec 69.1 (4) In addition, a worker who may be endangered by vehicular traffic during night-time hours shall wear retro-reflective silver stripes encircling each arm and leg, or equivalent side visibility-enhancing stripes with a minimum area of 50 square centimetres per arm and per leg.

Moving machinery and vehicles on roadways and construction sites can be hazardous and workers in these environments need to be highly visible. AGO Hi-Visibility Traffic Safety Apparel makes workers more visible at greater distances. The bright orange colour of our garments contrasts with background environments and 3M™ Scotchlite™ yellow reflective tape adds further contrast with a distinguishable pattern of stripes on the front and X on the back. Night-time visibility is further enhanced with 3M™ Scotchlite™ silver reflective tape on arms and legs. Our 100% cotton line of Hi-Visibility Traffic Safety Apparel is rugged, functional and comfortable to wear.
