Herman Tucker, President, Bermuda Security Group, President of Security Associates and Director and shareholder of The Security Centre Limited, Cayman Islands, was born and raised in Bermuda and has enjoyed a varied career in aviation, transport and security. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Air Commerce and Flight Technology and a MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. In the Public sector where he worked for 19 years, he held senior posts as the Director of Civil Aviation; Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Transport and Assistant Cabinet Secretary. In 2002 Herman acquired Bermuda Security Group Limited and served as President & CEO until 2012 when he appointed a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the day to day operations of the business. Herman now serves as Chairman and President of the Company. In the community, Herman has served on the Executive Board of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, is presently on the boards of several local companies including TBI Limited; BDC 2000 Limited (Phoenix, Brown & Co., BGA) and SAL Limited. Herman previously served on a number of Government boards including Chairman of the National Training Board for five years and Chairman of the Bermuda Hospitals Board for five years. Through his company and personally, Herman has supported a number of community programmes and charities including The Family Centre, Age Concern, Under 14 Youth Cricket League and the Bermuda Schools WaterWise Programme.
