Hello Kitty Ornament with Tonttulakki

For those who don't speak Finnish, tonttulakki is a Christmas hat. Kind of like a Santa hat but it is worn by the elves andchildren. I made these ornaments for my nieces in Finland as they are big fans of Hello Kitty.

Loops and Threads Impeccable Solids White about 6 m of any worsted weight yarn in white

Bernat Satin Maitai about 4 m of any worsted weight yarn in pink or redsmall amounts of black and yellow for adding the face details

Sew on ears; then sew on face details. Sew on hat; then whip stitch around the bottom of the hat to create a brim. To makethe fold use the tail from the BO end and sew the hat down. Sew closed the CO and BO ends of the head.

To make the ornament hanger twist a 30cm/12 piece of white and pink together to make a cord. Attach to the top of thehead.
