We will view this Update in the following areas.

First up, Supply Chain Planning

3

Page 4: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

With release 21C, Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning provides a flexible rules framework to ensure that only the supplies that meet specific attribute specifications is used to satisfy demand. Consider, for example, diamond jewelry manufacturing. The quality of a diamond is determined by its color, cut, clarity and carat. Thus, a demand for a specific quality of diamond needs to match with the same quality of supply. Furthermore, its provenance must be known if you want a conflict free diamond. Managing this demand-supply matching manually is infeasible because of the millions of potential combinations. With this new functionality you can:

• Ensure that only the right supply is used to satisfy demand• Reduce item proliferation. For example, instead of creating two items to capture

the RoHS compliance status, you would be able to plan appropriately with justone item

• Enable a differentiated process for various customer segments. For example: ifyou have supply set aside for a high priority group of customers or a specialproject, you can ensure that the planning process does not use that supply forother demands

Oracle Cloud Supply Planning enables the following capabilities for attribute based planning:

1. You can define the attributes to be used in the planning process from inventory, supply and demand entities i.e. from sales orders, purchase orders andrequisitions, transfer orders, work orders and on-hand. The attributes on theseentities include those defined using extensibility frameworks such as descriptiveand extensible flex fields available in fusion SCM cloud or any other SCM system.2. You can create the rules that are relevant to your business situation. For example, you could specify a rule that demand from Europe can only be satisfied by supplythat originated in France or Italy while demand from Brazil can be satisfied bysupply from US or Mexico.3. You can collect data from fusion or external supply chain systems with theattributes on supply and demand entities. For example, you would be able to collectthe sales orders with the attribute specifying the region of the customer (Europe orBrazil) and the on-hand lots specifying the country of origin.4. You can run the plan where the rules you created are honored.5. You can analyze the plan using the multi-dimensional analytical capabilitiesembedded in supply planning. Once you are satisfied with the plan, you can releasethe orders for execution. For example, if there isn’t enough compliant supplyavailable, you would release a planned order with the appropriate attribution. As business conditions change, so can your rules thus enabling a flexible planningsystem, one that is self-service to a business user.

Production Scheduling in 21C provides you with the ability to schedule process manufacturing work orders from Oracle Cloud Manufacturing and adjust them as needed through the interactive Gantt or the Dispatch List. You can incorporate both process and discrete manufacturing work orders in the same schedule. Process manufacturers can now schedule their work orders interactively in Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management eliminating the need for scheduling outside the system. Additionally, the consideration of attribute sequences and attribute-based changeover rules improves throughput and utilization of capital-intensive equipment, resulting in high-quality schedules that can be executed with confidence.

Page Composer is used to customize page content, layouts, and more. Now you can use Page Composer to link to another page from the Manage Item Quantities page. Using the item, lot, and serial details returned from your search in the Manage Item Quantities page, this link can direct you to another page within Oracle Inventory Management, or to a page within an external execution system, as long as there is existing deep link support using the attributes you want to navigate with.

In Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), you can now subscribe to the new Transfer Order Creation public business event to trigger additional business processes or integrate with third-party applications. For example, you can send the transfer order information to a transportation management system to assist in planning internal material movements.

The Transfer Order public business event allows you to easily integrate and extend Oracle Inventory Management Cloud with external systems.

Now Maintenance

11

Page 12: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

When you operate a closed storeroom, you would want to track issues to a work order in the normal course. However, the part issued from stores may not have been installed on the asset. With this feature, you can now issue the part to the work order without updating the asset configuration. Once the technician performs the operation, he/she can confirm the install. Asset configuration is updated upon install. Likewise, a part replaced would change the asset configuration, but the replaced part can be returned to the stores later.

12

Page 13: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

You can now Manually associate & maintain relationship between Installed Base asset & Fixed Asset

13

Page 14: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Update 21C expands the integration between Service Logistics & projects. You can create project expenditures for costs captured in service debrief, including labor, parts and expenses. Collecting project expenditures for service costs ensures complete cost visibility for your project work.

14

Now Order Management

15

Page 16: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Ordering by Customer Part Number (CPN) is common practice in many industries. You can now search for internal part numbers using customer item number, create orders which show both the customer part number and your part number on the order lines and pass the customer part number to downstream systems for display on associated documents. Ordering with Customer item number avoids manual steps in the ordering process to decrease order cycle time through faster order entry and fewer order errors.

16

For a Back-to-Back sales order, you could faces an unexpected supply disruption like the cancellation of linked PO from the Supplier. Now you will be able to request the replacement supplies, either by finding an alternative source using the Global Order Promising in real-time or by re-creating a new supply order from the original source.

Back-to-Back Sales Orders are updated with the details of the exception in real-time, so the order managers have visibility of the supply changes and they can track the order fulfillment process.

Next Procurement

18

Page 19: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Some of the new capabilities are: Progress Payment Schedules, DataFox Supplier Intelligence, Spend Classification, and Internal Supplier Surveys -For full details on this please see the separate Spotlight under Procurement. In addition we have developed a key feature for managing External Purchase Pricing with specific applicability in Healthcare – though may have applicability elsewhere/ Let’s look at this in a bit more detail.

19

Page 20: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Purchase pricing is Healthcare can be enormously complex. From third party negotiators such a group purchasing organizations (GPO’s) or Regional contracting alliances to multi-tiered contracts, ensuring a product is procured at the right price for each requestor can result in full-time efforts across many FTE’s. Oracle’s EPP solution will allow a healthcare organization to integrate to their GPO or other contract system like GHX to pull in the pricing for all of their contracted products. The rules-based engine will then refine the data to allow a single price and single source to be identified and converted to a business purchase agreement (BPA) to support end user requisitioning.

20

Page 21: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

3rd party systems can now send purchasing & pricing data to Oracle Cloud daily. Oracle will consume the data, allow approvals to changes and produce an output that can be used to build and maintain BPA’s. This will allow Oracle customers to spend less time managing pricing and BPA’s and more time identifying areas of savings.

Trade Agreement Qualification has been improved with the ability to run the process from a variety of different business objects, thus simplifying the process. Also in 21C is a new batch process that allows a user to schedule large volumes of items to be qualified for trade agreements as a background process. Lastly there is a new qualification report that details the steps taken to qualify for analysis and audit purposes. These enhancements provide Global Trade Management users with the tools and information to manage their trade agreement programs.

Many shippers are being challenged by tight capacity in the truckload market. To help our customers avoid delays and keep service levels high, we’ve improved OTM’s native spot bid tendering capabilities. It is now easier than ever for users to put shipments out for bid, track ongoing bid activity, and then award shipments to their service providers. We’ve rounded out these improved features by enabling customers to measure their spot tendering performance through reporting and analytics.

Control Actions Performed by Change Requester

A new Requester column was added to additional controls that will allow administrators to configure the actions that a requester can take on a change order type in the following statuses:

• Open• Interim Approval• Approval• Scheduled• The new column applies to Change Orders, Change Requests, Problem Reports,

and Corrective Actions.• This improves flexibility, security in these processes

29

Page 30: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Now Quality: Certain industries with a large number of transactions require batch inspection using physical samples rather than a visual inspection of individual units. With this feature, you can specify the sample quantity and unit of measure as part of the definition of an inspection level that is assigned to an inspection plan to guide inline and ad hoc inspections. These samples are then drawn from a batch of material, such as a receipt, inventory lot, or manufacturing work order, and analyzed against specifications to determine its usage. With a clear definition of sample quantities and units of measure, you can better communicate and adhere to the appropriate sampling procedures for quality analysis.

30

Finally, Lets look at IOT applications and Blockchain with Intelligent Track & Trace

31

Page 32: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Block Chain applications refers to Intelligent Track and Trace where a new Dashboard feature provides aggregated view of transactions that have been recorded in the track-and-trace business network.

The dashboard allows creating KPIs based on any document transactions that the trading partner has visibility and can be visualized as basic aggregated values, group charts, geo-map based charts etc. For e.g. a Supplier can define KPI that show count of Order received in a period, compare orders received over a period, see the geographical distribution of customers placing orders etc.

Application provides pre-seeded, basic dashboard.

Each trading partner in the network has the ability to customize their own KPIs and dashboards.

32

Page 33: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Intelligent Track and Trace now has the capability to capture Lot and Serial numbers from documents submitted by the trading partner on the network. The application uses this to build complete end-to-end product trace.

A forward trace provides the ability to visualize the events affecting a lot or serial of an ingredient / raw material / component from its source, its use in another product and that products forward trace and so on.

A backward trace provides a provenance trace of a products to its source.

This graphical view makes it easy to navigate through multiple hierarchies of events.

On now to Internet of thing applications and Multivariate anomaly detection.

Prior to Update 21C we were limited to detecting anomalies in variables by examining them one at a time.

With this update we have added the capability to collectively examine a set of variables for the presence of anomalies

This accounts for interactions and correlations amongst the variables e.g. temperature and pressure rise together.

Benefits are:

• the ability to detect anomalies which might not show in any individual variablebut only in their collective behavior

• reduction of false alarms resulting from looking at a single variable in isolation

• and increased confidence in the anomalies detected

• Users can pick a set of variables (such as RPM, Temperature and coolantpressure) to be monitored for anomalies, and detected anomalies will bepresented to users along with their key contributing variables, ranked bycontribution.

34

Page 35: Hello, I am Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of

Also in this update is State-aware anomaly detection that includes the user’s knowledge of the operating state of their asset in the anomaly detection process.Patterns exhibited by variables could be indicative of anomalies or not, depending on the operating context. For example, the “normal” behavior of

temperature of a Motor would depend on whether it is in operational, maintenance or standby state. For example, A temperature of 500 F may be normal for operational

mode but anomalous for standby mode. The normal and anomalous pressure in a chemical tank could depend on the product being produced.

35

Internet of Things Connected Worker now supports Apple watch as wearable device for workers.

This allows for workers to interact with the Connected Worker application in a hands-free manner and provides most of the features available in the mobile app including automated location reporting.

The user create alerts based on worker health (e.g. heart rate threshold crossed) without sending any PII to the Connected Worker AppThis update requires iOS Connected Worker companion app on an iPhone. Standalone Watch support is planned for a future release.
