Finishing first year at University with a high 2:1 has led me to gain con- fidence in my knowledge of a subject I already loved. Professional Media Achievements PR/Social Media At my current place of work, I noticed that nobody had the role of updating our social media sites and many of them had not been touched for months. I emailed my boss and set up a proposal which involved running the social media within our company and my offer was accepted. My role is to now run the social media for Made. Radio Presenting within University I have experience within the radio field, holding a two hour morning slot on the Univer- sities radio station Scratch Radio. Basic and fundamental knowledge of Myriad radio software. Production days (Year 1) - At University we are required to act as Media profession- als within a working environment. The Public Relations production day tasks included, designing a magazine, organising and hosting a news conference, interviewing and composing a press pack relevant to the conference. Radio production day involved an assessed live radio show and the composition of a 5 minute radio documentary combined both literary and media skills for audience enter- tainment value. Journalism in Practice production days allowed for real life scenario of a news room, having to write stories of good quality for speedy deadlines and hunting for stories with the ability to cut and refine bad press. Production days (Year 2) - Creating and designing a PR campaign for a client. Includes the ability to make a creative PR campaign along with knowing logistics and following a budget which also needs to be detailed within the proposal.
