2011 Gundog Estate Hunter's Shiraz

 Very  good  colour;  sourced  from  two  vineyards  in  the  Lovedale  and  Pokolbin  areas  of  the  Hunter  Valley;  open  fermented,  and  matured  in  French  oak  puncheons  for  10  months.  This  is  a  delicious  wine  showing  the  modern  face  of  Hunter  Valley  shiraz  to  full  advantage,  its  black  fruits  supported  by  notes  of  spice  an  cedar,  the  tannins  round  and  soft.  Screwcap.
