Meet the friendly facesbehind your local businesses!

In 2011, a few local general contractors decided that col-lectively they had much to gain by merging their companies. With the sta , equipment, tools and knowledge between them, DJM Contracting Ltd was born.

Now DJM Contracting employs 15 to 35 quali ed carpen-ters and four full-time o ce sta . e combination of re-sources allows DJM to focus on larger commercial and insti-tutional projects while continuing to bring their expertise to quality custom projects and extensive home renovations. e merger also gave them opportunities to o er their skills and knowledge throughout the Kootenays and Okanagan.

O ering lump sum contracting, general contracting, de-sign build and construction management, DJM’s tradespeo-ple perform a broad spectrum of services such as concrete, framing, nishing work and exterior cladding.

DJM strives to continually improve and develop process-es to help deliver the ultimate customer experience, from

pre-construction right through to delivery. Me-ticulous cra smanship, the latest high-quality products and tech-niques combined with Justin and Mark’s dedi-cation to the best owner experience is what is behind the success and solid reputation DJM has achieved in just a few short years.

We like to think that BV Communica-tions has come a long way since its hum-ble beginnings as a basement operation way back in 1979. Located in downtown Trail, BV Communications specializes in a wide variety of electronic communi-cations with an emphasis on wireless. As owners, we, along with four other highly trained specialists, Jason, Brandon, Jaden and Jared, are always eager to win your business and share our knowledge.

BV Communications has been a Telus cellular dealer since cellphones came to the area. We help you minimize your monthly costs by bundling all Telus of-ferings such as cellphone, internet, tele-vision and home phone packages.

We lease and sell two-way radios for construction jobs, special events or whatever other purpose you require, whether large or small. We also provide wide area radio-to-radio coverage for areas where cell-phones just won’t cut it. In fact, we have a radio system that will allow you to talk radio-to-radio directly from Beaverdell to Crawford Bay and throughout most of the Kootenay-Boundary area, even in the wilderness.

Besides radio and cellular communi-cations, we sell satellite communication phones and messengers, high-end com-mercial grade security camera systems,

business phones, wireless networking, emergency, commercial and LED vehi-cle lighting packages and car audio.

We are thankful for the support of the community and love to give back by pro-viding quick and e cient service that you cannot get by shopping online!

H♥metownMeet your friends and neighbours, who are also your hometown service providers.

In 2004, Guy LaBossiere retired from Riverview Chev Olds. Together with the Bannister family, Marc Cabana pur-chased the dealership and Champion Chevrolet was born.

Marc’s love for the car business started just a er high school when in 1989 he began selling cars for Sunridge Nissan in Calgary. From 1990 until he moved to Trail in 2004, Marc further developed his experience at Woodridge Ford.

Starting his own dealership, Marc took special care in interviewing many of Riverview’s longtime customers. He delved into what they liked about the dealership and what could be improved upon – and there was lots of great cus-tomer feedback. What Marc discovered was that custom-ers wanted more inventory to select from. ey also wanted unbeatable prices.

So, that’s just what Champion Chevrolet did. ey carry the inventory of a big city dealership, along with a $500 price guarantee!Champion has a huge inventory of new and used vehicles and friendly sta wait-ing to help you nd the car of your dreams. Schedule a test drive at Champion Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd today!

We rst opened our doors in 1993. I myself have been at the store for 18 years and have been managing it for ve.

At Trail Home Hardware, a big part of our business is installations. We do just about everything but we specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, ooring, and wood stoves. Customers can have peace of mind when we do these projects as we

guarantee all of our work. Rest assured, Home Hardware will make it right!

We also supply many of the down-town businesses with all their commercial

needs such as cleaners, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. If you would like us to supply your business, please give us a call.

We are currently in the planning stages of a proposed expansion. is expansion will include a 7,000 square foot addition to the store as well as an 18,000 square

foot covered lumber yard. With the suc-cess Trail Home Hardware has had over the past few years, we feel this expansion is a must as we go forward. We are aim-ing to supply our customers with every-thing they need for almost any project from start to nish.

Be sure to check out our biggest event of the year – our annual trade show, scheduled for May 28th. is event has proven to be one of the biggest of its kind in the Kootenays. It will be our 6th show. 50+ vendors participate and each one presents and demonstrates their product line, and also has a ra e box – we aver-age about $10,000 in giveaways!
