Start the journey in prayer . Of what do you need more? Less? What needs to be resurrected in you? 2. Consider creating an altar in your home or work with one or more Lenten symbols (i.e. sand; journey, bowl of water; baptism, cross; sacrifice) 3. Attend Ash Wednesday Worship on Feb. 10 at 6:30. Come at 5pm for the pancakes and support the Haiti Clean Water Team. 4. Worship : Commit to being in worship during Lent every Sunday as we Journey to Life: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus , which is the new series starting Feb. 14. (Using The Way: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus ) 5. Pick up your free Lenten Devotional book based on the new series. Visit the book store table in the Connector. 6. Journey in group : Sign up for a short- term group using the Growth Group Guide. Groups meet on various days, not just Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Preparing for Lent: A Prayer Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for it is from your goodness that we have this day to celebrate on the threshold of the Season of Lent. Prepare us for tomorrow. Tasting the fullness of what we have today, let us experience some hunger tomorrow. May our fasting make us more alert and may it heighten our consciousness so that we might be ready to hear your Word and respond to your call. In the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.
