Greetings! My name is Danette Sell. I am a new member on the Facets team.

My husband and I recently moved to Sioux Falls from Dell Rapids, South Dakota. For fourteen years I worked for the Dell Rapids Public School District as an educational assistant in the special education department. Ten of those years were in the middle

school and the last four in the elementary school. I loved working with the children and my favorite thing to do was teach them to read.

My husband and I are blessed to have three children, two sons and a daughter, who are grown. The boys live in our beautiful state of South Dakota and our

daughter lives in Indianapolis….way too far away for my liking. Thank you for making me feel welcome here at Grand Living. I have enjoyed

getting to know each one of you thus far.

We are thrilled to again welcome world renowned pianist Calvin Jones to Grand Living. He will be performing Tuesday, October 8 at 7PM in the Forum Theater. Pre-show dining will begin at 5PM and take place in Café Lorraine, with desserts served in the Bistro that evening. This concert is free to all residents; guest

tickets are $20 each with all proceeds benefitting Harmony South Dakota.

Thank you for your recent support of the Alzheimer's Association. Through free will offering collections at recent events, you have generously donated $1,000 to this cause! Thank you!

As we approach the holidays, please plan ahead for guest suite reservations and room reservations. These rooms are being reserved quickly. In order to accommodate all requests, we may ask you to closely adhere to the check in and check out times. We are grateful that so many of you and your families enjoy using the spaces at our Community.

Take a trip to the Country Apple Orchard on

Tuesday, October 22nd! The orchard has approximately 6,000 trees with thirteen varieties to

satisfy everyone's tastes. They also plant seven acres of pumpkins. There are a

variety of Orchard inspired treats in the Country Store, and don't forget to visit

Big O's for mouth-watering food choices.
