IN: how you gained volunteers?

o Many liaisons, building relationships with other organizations and working with

SGA and Greek organizations. Capitalized on organizations with need for

volunteer hours.

NRHH: How this impacted so much?

o Must fill all general assembly seats for RHA. This event got the name out on

RHA and helped fill the entire board. Claims that most that ran for positions came

to event and saw how much fun they were having and wanted to be included.

Q&A: MI- How has this changed from years past?

o Started in 1993. Geared it more towards eco-friendly area. But now it is more of a

competition. Reached out to students to see exactly what they want. Restarted this

to benefit homecoming and school spirit.

IN: Where is the 250 split up?

o On presentation

o 4 cent laundry was through RHA.

NRHH: Feedback/impressions?

o Community within halls. People were really enthusiastic and always looking

forward to the following year. Recognition was beneficial. People are already

asking for Freeze Fest for this year.

UW-Stevens Point Pro/Con

Discussion:

PP: UW-SP has shown growth and adaptability.

MI: While both are well written, agree with PP.

IL: Echo, SP was a better program (more involvement and make it their own)

IN: Both bids, presentations and programs are good. BSU focused on what residents

needs and wants are

WI: Both are wonderful, collaboration was great, but SP showed a better sense of making

connections with students and fostered growth between one another

NRHH: SP is overall more adaptable to smaller schools, in addition this is a great way of

using weather to their benefit

ADFA: move to end

Q&A

o NIU: How do you feel program has changed?

First didn’t feel like RLU had a purpose. It was very new until the second

year. Over the past few years it became a well-oiled machine and met

goals it set out to do

o UW-Stevens: What social programs?

Door decs, arts and crafts, getting people talking. A scavenger hunt was

given to acclimate the students to ISU.

o Eau Claire: Where is it going in the future?

More toward bonding between staff, needs to be improved upon to make

staff a united front.

o Ball State: Are topics of diversity addressed?

Yes, Movie night was a big part. As well as social justice conversations.

Organizations

Discussion

NCC: Indiana State is concerned with the lack of organizations compared to GVSU.

DePaul: Both graphs were confusing but with GVSU we have no clue because they took

out a large group of data. With ISU it was confusing because it was up to interpretations

IWU: GVSU bid was very through based on classes, organizations this year.

UIC: In relation to each other, the fact that GVSU had three letters of support compared

to one, they worry about the support of the other school since there was only one letter.

NIU: While charts were misleading GVSU their information was better layed out and

presented.

DePaul: DePaul agrees with NIU with GVSUs graphs and they have a lot of school

support and have many resources compared to Indiana State

CMU: Would like to echo the previous statements with the students on campus and the

culture were better defined with GVSU.

NCC: When looking at GVSU they look at a more well-rounded campus based on

departments.

UIC: Echo what was said before. Comparison between GVSU with organizations and

programs and Indiana state university with programs and evaluations.

MSU: While looking at both bids GVSU did a better job describing their events. It was

fluid and well done.
