OUR COMPOUNDED MEDICATIONS

CAPSULES

Capsules are a good option for any bitter tasting medication, and are the least expensive compounded form available. They are available in a variety of sizes and colors, so owners who have animals on multiple medications, won’t get them confused. We have the capability of combining multiple medications into one capsule which can offer a significant price savings along with the ease of administering one capsule instead of two or three.

ORAL SUSPENSIONS

Oral Suspensions are a good alternative for any animal who refuses to take a capsule, and would much rather prefer a flavored medication. We have compounded flavored oral suspensions for just about every species of animal and have the appropriate flavor for each animals liking. We carry over 30 flavors, so we are able to accommodate even the pickiest of animals palate. Please refer to page 10 of this catalog for our complete list of flavors and what flavors specific species tend to prefer.



SIGNATURE SOFT CHEWS

Golden Gate Pharmacy’s signature soft chew treats come in 12 flavors and are a good option for all “harder-to-pill,” animals. The medication is mixed thoroughly throughout the whole treat, so the animal will not be able to spit out their medication. They can be cut in half if dosing is needed twice a day, and also have the capability of combining multiple medications into one. Please refer to page 12 for a complete list of flavors.


TRANSDERMAL GELS

We are proud to offer our signature Press-N-Dose Transdermal Gel Pens. Our Press-N-Dose pens offer an easy application for administering Transdermal medications. They are equipped with a soft felt tip which is smooth to the animal’s ear, and are very safe to use with little to no clean up. The easy to use pump mechanism provides an extremely accurate output which will help minimize any dosing errors as well as simplify the administration process. Our Press-N-Dose pens are very cost effective and offer a wide variety of dosing options. OTIC EAR PACKS

One time treatment for chronic ear infections. Typically containing three medications, the lanolin based gel is placed deep into the ear canal of that animal. In 5 minutes the gel hardens and releases medication over a full 10-14 day treatment. This method of treating ear infections enhances the compliance with both the pet and the pet owner. Set it and forget it!

MICRO TABLETS

Golden Gate Pharmacy’s micro tablets are the smallest compounded formulation available. Our micro tablets are very small and easy to administer. They are compressed and quick dissolving, making them an immediate favorite amongst our clients. They will be available for most medications up to 50mg in strength and will be the most cost effective out of all of our products.



INJECTABLES

Injectables are needed by every Veterinarian on a daily basis. Unfortunately, medications will go on backorder without reason. Golden Gate Pharmacy is now able to compound medications into an injectable formulation. Injectables are appropriate for many pre, intra, and post surgery situations where immediate administration of a medication to the bloodstream is needed. Please consult with one of our pharmacists for all your compounded injectable needs.


OPHTHALMIC SOLUTIONS

We offer two ophthalmic preparations; eye ointments and eye drops. They are available for multiple medications in oil and aqueous bases, accommodating the needs of every animal. Ophthalmic solutions are an easy and effective way to treat diseases of the eye and are used amongst all Veterinary practices
