with arrests and operationsesigned to target vulnerable

he same period from therevious year of roughly 10.5%.
Burglary is a key priority for thewhole of the Stockport area andhis reduction is welcomingews.

Tackling Anti-
SocialBehaviourIssues
In recent months there has beena reoccurring problem withyouths around Brook Road andthe Barnes Hospital Estate inCheadle. This has occurred dueto these youths finding thedisused hospital as a fun placeto go and hang out at. The WestNeighbourhood Policing Teamhave been targeting these areasand taking details of all youthsinvolved. Letters have been sentto parents informing them whattheir children have been up toand home visits to the youthsaddresses will also be carriedout. The West NPT will nottolerate this sort of ASB andarrests will be made when
appropriate. Good news of noteis that incidents havesignificantly decreased since theWest NPT targeted the area.
The West NPT is adopting a zerotolerance approach in regards toinconsiderate parking outside schoolsat the start/end of each day.
Parking on the pavements at theselocations/times is not only against the
law - it is ALSO DANGEROUS and anaccident waiting to happen.
We have tried speaking/advisingmotorists/parents and this hasntworked, therefore staff will beattending schools on a daily basis andFixed Penalty Notices will be issuedfor any such offences discovered.
The advice is to either walk your childto school or if you have to drop them
off in a vehicle to give yourself moretime in the morning so that you canpark your vehicle in a safe & legallocation.
