GirlVentures 2014 Year-In-Review

Celebrating our 18th anniversary, GirlVentures empowers girls to develop and express their inner strengths, through our outdoor adventure and leadership programs.

Our Model While connecting girls with the natural environment as they backpack, kayak and rock climb, our curriculum develops their confidence and leadership skills. Following our Leadership Progression Model, girls build on their strengths year after year through challenging and age-appropriate courses.

This scaffolding is effective and well received: 41% of our 300 girls this year were returners. Our Results

Our Diversity GirlVentures deliberately recruits participants diverse in experience, ethnicity, race and socio-economic background; this intentional mix of girls is unique, providing a rare opportunity for all girls to embrace what makes each of them special and appreciate differences in others.

Thanks to our network of supporters, all girls can participate in these life-changing experiences regardless of their socio-economic background. We remain committed to providing participants from low- to middle-income families with scholarships based on a sliding scale.
