What is Orthokeratology?
Orthokeratology contact lenses also known as Ortho-k or Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT), is a
non-surgical treatment that reshapes the cornea (front surface of your eye) using specially
designed contact lenses that are worn whilst you sleep. Orthokeratology is used in the
management of myopia (short-sightedness) and low to moderate astigmatism (irregularly
shaped cornea).
Orthokeratology, or Ortho K, is a method of correcting and controlling short-sightedness
(myopia) in children and adults through the use of specialised contact lenses worn only during
sleep. The recent advances in contact lens design, combined with the latest technologies used
to measure the exact dimensions of your eye, have made this possible!
