GEOMAR Co. Ltd. Maritime Consultants and Surveyors was established in 1994, by group

of high professional experts in range of a sea transport and marine engineering. The staff of the

company works in English, Russian and Georgian languages. The company is completely

Georgian with a head office situated in Batumi. GEOMAR Co. ltd works in all ports of Georgia :

Batumi, Supsa, Poti. The mobility and system of work allows us to inspect cargoes and means of

transport on all area of Georgia and abroad - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan.

The company executes such works as, quantity determination of bulk and liquid cargoes,

inspection of quality, inspection of damages and losses, inspections for and on behalf of P&I

Clubs and H&M Insurance companies.

Having marine engineering skills the company realizes professional ship's inspection of

hull and machinery, executing such works as vessel condition survey, On/Off Hire Survey,

investigation of marine incidents.

For professional fulfillment of inspection on liquid, dry bulk and break bulk cargoes the

company has surveyors and analysts with the large experience of work in the confirming

companies and State enterprises connected with concrete type of a product.

Already at first developments of the company were entrusted

fulfillment of large significance and relevance inspections in number of

projects. 1996 - 1998 by our company were inspected large diameter

pipes for construction of the pipeline of Baku - Supsa by length of 841

kms, that has constituted 65594 pipes arrived on 35 vessels.

1994 - 1998 by our company were inspected large stream of Humanitarian cargoes and as

for today GEOMAR Co.Ltd. has a good reputation , trust and recognized by such international

organizations, as Red Cross, World Food Program, CCC, UMCOR.

Having a large experience of work and the accumulations of experience of work in the market of

TransCaucasus area and taking into account local features, by our company were developed the

techniques of inspection of basic export, import and transit cargoes of our area , such as citrus

cultures, tea, spirits products, mineral products, steel scrap, fertilizers, bauxites, steel products

and project cargoes, equipment.

The company also has accumulated wide experience in

investigations of transport incidents, damages of containers, different

types of ship's, trucks and rail/wagons. The company has established a

well reputation among the local and overseas insurance companies and

mutual protecting and indemnity Clubs, executing different works on

2002 - at the request of ITERA Energy (Georgia) was

carried out consultation and supervision of

development and construction of new type dry bulk

container specialized for carriage of fertilizers in bulk.

2002 were carried out Condition survey and Pre-Risk

determination of Sea Port Poti for Lloyd's Ports and

Terminal Consortium. Scope of work covered

determination of level of risk of cargo handling

equipment, port crafts, access roads etc.

2001- were carried out inspection of Poti Milling

Factory, condition of silos, access roads, facilities

available for storage and producing of wheat flour.

2001- Specially for transportation of heavy lift and

oversized equipment for electro hydro power station

Khrami II which situated high in mountains were

carried out inspection and determination of technical

condition of access roads and bridges . Totally were

inspected road line by distance of 87 km.

200-2001 by GEOMAR Co.Ltd. carried out

superintendence of large stream of project cargoes

transshipments via Poti port to Turkmenistan.

Technical consultations and supervising for

discharging , loading and securing operations of

oversized and heavy lift equipment units.

Already at first developments of the company were

On / Off Hire Survey - includes condition of the

vessel at the commencement or completion of a

charter , covering examination of certificates , general

condition of holds , cargo gears , engine . The report

includes photos of inspected vessel and on request

report includes Bunker report and issuing of delivery

certificate.

Survey of Hull / Machinery damages - generally

includes detailed description of ascertained damages

to vessel hull, machinery or any other ship equipment,

description of repair works, supported with

conclusion, evidences and photos.

Underwater Video Survey -Evaluate damage, inspect

mooring and anchor security, underwater vessel hull

condition, troubleshoot systems, minimize dry

docking, inspect underwater shallow pipelines,

perform regulatory structural inspections from top

side. Could be used as part of full vessel condition

survey.

Ultrasonic hatch cover tightness survey – non

destructive method of water tightness inspection by

ultrasonic equipment prior to loading or as part of

vessel condition survey.

Holds / Tanks Suitability Inspection - prior to

loading , determination condition of holds/tanks

suitability in accordance to cargo transportation

requirements , issuing of inspection certificate.

Survey Services on behalf of P&I clubs - includes

detailed inspection condition of vessel, documents

available on board , Navigation / communication

Equipment , maintenance of the various areas . The

final report applying for Pre-purchase information

and for P&I joining.

Draft Survey - convenient and economical way of

determining the quantity of bulk cargo loaded or

discharged from ship. Draft report includes , report ,

calculations , certificate of weight.

Tally - survey includes : calculation of general cargo

during all process of loading or discharging to / from

vessel holds , rail wagons or trucks ; rejected or

damaged bags , cases , drums e.t.c ; supported by daily

report , tally sheets and certificate of quantity.

Re-Weighing - determination of weight , quantity of

cargo by re-weighing each rail wagon ,truck during

loading / discharging operations , supported by re-

weighing calculations and tables , determination of

average weight of bags , drums ; issuing of weight /

quantity certificate.

Supervision of Loading / discharging - includes 24

hour control of cargo operations , noting all delays ,

rejecting cargo which doesn't meets Principal

instruction or contractual specification according to

mutually agreed Standards specifications and quality ,

daily & final with photos reports.

Cargo Damage Survey - covers detailed report of

damages ascertained, loses, reasons. Investigation of

the reasons of damaging cargo supported by collected

evidences documents and photos.

Quality verification of goods - includes supervision

of loading / discharging cargo , determination quality

of cargo according to agreed specification , standards .

Rejecting cargo which doesn't meet quality

specifications , issuing certificate of quality .

Sampling & Laboratory Analysis - GEOMAR

Ullage Survey - These survey used to determine the

quantity of liquid cargo loaded or discharged. As a

standard we support report by calculations , certificate

of quantity , timesheet and other supporting

documents.

OBQ/ROB Measurement - Used for calculation of

the material remaining in a ship's tanks and pipe lines

and include water, oil, slops, oil/water emulsion ,

sludge and sediment. Survey includes accurate

measurements and issuing OBQ/ROB calculation ,

report.

Measurement Survey on Shore tanks , Rail Tanks -

GEOMAR Co.Ltd. carry outs simultaneously

measurements on shore tanks , r/wagons and vessel to

keep under control for our clients full scope of loading

/ discharging operations.

Liquid cargo damage survey - Having a great

experienced mariners , we carry out determination the

reasons of cargo contamination , leakage and loss of

cargo. The report includes full detailed description of

carried out investigation and on request laboratory

analysis.

Bunker Survey - is an ullage / sounding survey

carried out to determine the quantity of all bunkers on

board of vessel. The Survey can be done as a part of

on/off-hire survey.

trailers, cars ) and rail transport units (locomotives,

documentation.

Site Survey-Inspection of various sites such as

Terminals, Warehouses, Refineries, cargo handling
