Forgive m e , Rich ard Stallm an! I w as te m pte d by value for m one y. I w as in ne e d of a

I re ally w asn't sure w h at th at m e ant but it turns out it didn't lik e th e '0.6.0', so I playe d it safe and just h it Ente r and h ope d for th e be st.

Now w e h ave to link librarie s . In th e console , type :

W h ich gave m e th e re sult:

More re s e arch told m e th at th e re w as a ste p m is s ing in th e tutorial I re ad, so now I h ave to run:

No re ply. But, in th e Linux w orld, no ne w s is good ne w s .

Th at is bas ically it!

Th e tutorial I re ad said to uninstall Am arok and re install it, but I h ave to adm it th at I'm too lazy to do th at, and de cide d to continue on none th e le s s . I loade d up Am arok and plugge d in th e iPod. Am arok re cognize s th at

Click th e D e vice s tab and, at th e top of th e scre e n, th e re 's an iPod button - I click th at and from th e m e nu I ch oos e m y Black 80GB iPod Class ic.

To start th e transfe r, you click th e 'Transfe r' button at th e top of th e scre e n.

It m ay tak e a w h ile for th e file s to copy across and for th e iPod to stop saying 'Synch ronizing'. Unfortunate ly, afte r you log out and in again, or re boot, Am arok s e e m s to ignore th e libgpod th at w e 've just built and re sorts to us ing an olde r ve rs ion. Th e only w ay I h ave found of re solving th is is to m ak e sure your iPod is unm ounte d, e xit Am arok , now bring up a te rm inal and type :

sudo ln -s /usr/local/lib/libgpod.so.3 /usr/lib/libgpod.so.2

sudo ln -s /usr/local/lib/libgpod.so.3 /usr/lib/libgpod.so.3

Now load up Am arok and it w ill prope rly de te ct your iPod again.

I will begin by adding a famous equation to the document, and referencing the equation in the text.

Einstein published important papers in 1905, and one of them was Special Relativity, popularly known as \ref{eqn1}.
