    Minnedosa Colle-giate Student Coun-cil partnered with theCHANGE committee tobring Te Chris FrolicComedy Hypnosis Show

    to Minnedosa on Monday.

    Chris perormed an ater-noon show or MCI stafand students ollowed byan evening show or thecommunity.

    Proceeds rom theticket sales o the eveningshow will be donated to

    the Haitian Relie Efort

    through the Red Cross. Al-though only a small crowdcame out to support theevening show, StudentCouncil and CHANGEraised $175. As the show

    was a undraiser, Chrisgraciously discounted his

    regular perormance ee

    and charged only 50% othe ticket sales.

    Chris Frolic is one oCanadas top hypnotists

    who specializes in person-alized, corporate, and highschool shows.

    Sixteen coaches, in-cluding eam West-man 5-Pin Bowling coach,

    Waine Mansell, were rec-ognized with the TanksCoach! award at the culmi-nation o the 2010 PowerSmart Manitoba WinterGames in Portage la Prai-rie. Te award is issued bySport Manitoba and theManitoba Lotteries Corpo-

    vital role coaches play insports. Recipient coachesdisplay a special brand ocare and concern or youngpeople, stated a press re-lease rom Sport Manitoba.o be eligble or a Manitoba Lotteries Tanks Coach!award the coach must:

    1. Have actively coached at the Power Smart Mani-toba Winter Games.

    2. Be nominated by an athlete, manager, o cial,parent, ellow coach or mission staf.

    3. Be considered competent and knowledgeable bytheir peers.

    4. Demonstrate concern or athletes above and be-yond their perormance in the athletic arena.

    5. Serve as a role model or athletes and othercoaches by demonstrating good sportsmanship, concernor the personal growth o their athletes and adherenceto community standards and values.

    6. Have completed at least one component o NCCPIntroduction to Level A (Teory, Multi-sport module,echnical or Practical).

    When he heard that he had won the award, Mansellwas quite taken aback. It was a pleasant surprise, how-ever, and one that riends and neighbours eel is well-deserved.
