Would You Go To Heaven Without Christ?

"I go to prepare a place for you...that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3).

John Piper said in his book "God Is the Gospel" these words:

“The critical question for our generation -- and for every generation -- is this: If you could have

heaven, with no sickness, and with all the friends you ever had on earth, and all the food you ever

liked, and all the leisure activities you ever enjoyed, and all the natural beauties you ever saw, all the

physical pleasures you ever tasted, and no human conflict or any natural disaster, could you be satisfied

with heaven, if Christ was not there?”

Some of you may think, "You know, I might just be okay with that". It's really sad to even think this

way. Herein lies the wickedness and deception of the heart, to think Heaven is stuff and things and no

conflicts. When I step into my parent's home there is someone not there that used to live there -- my

father. The home on West Old Glencoe Road is not the same. He is missed. There is an ache in my

soul.

If you really love your God, you've got to know you could never be satisfied in a heaven made just for

you without Christ. Learn to live in His presence!
