50 to 60 mph wind gusts
Isolated hail up to quarters (1” diameter)
Isolated, brief tornadoes
Maybe isolated flooding in flood-prone urban areas.
Discussion: The severe weather threat this afternoon is a highly conditional based on how fast the storms are able to develop into a line this afternoon.
• Faster development of a line would increase the threat for damaging winds and isolated tornadoes especially in northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.
• Slower development of a line would result in the severe weather threat being more in south-central & southeast Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

How do I stay safe? Go indoors and stay away from windows. If you are caught outside, do not
seek shelter underneath a tree – they are prone to lightning strikes. A hard-topped vehicle may
offer some protection as a last resort. Do not touch the sides of the vehicle.
All thunderstorms can be deadly: When Thunder Roars, Go indoors!
