Why hold an Aging in Place Conference?

As people age they want to live in the home of their choice, maximize their health and well-being, and manage their affairs. To do this requires access to information, resources and support. Lack of awareness about services, products and lifestyle options may reduce choices, cause confusion about the market place, and create sticker shock.

The 4th Aging in Place Conference brings together professionals from

a wide range of related disciplines. If you are 50+, this is an excellent

opportunity to meet with professionals from many sectors including

senior housing, healthcare, social services, home design and

remodeling, financial services, and legal services. Baby Boomers,

recent retirees, and senior citizens and their adult children will have

opportunities to collect information needed to make informed

decisions about their housing, personal care, and lifestyles.

Workshops will be offered from Monday, November 10 through Thursday, November 13 on the following:

Become a Savvy Health Care Consumer One Stop Shop for Piece of Mind: Preparing for the

Expected and the Unexpected in Later Life Build or Remodel Your Home for the Future How to Successfully Detect and Avoid the

Deadly Estate Planning Mistakes Distressing Behaviors in Dementia: Why they occur, how

to prevent them and how to respond to them Home Care Defined: A Guide to In-Home Care Services Balance and Falls Home Safety Local Public Transportation: Maintaining Your

Independence and Mobility Healthy Living for an Aging Body Communications Between Generations Low Cost Housing and Care

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters

all events are provided at no cost to you.
