Capuchin Franciscan Sacred Heart Sisters
Our Holy Father Pope Francis has proclaimed a Year of Mercy to renew
our spirit of evangelization. Together in Mission calls upon the entire
Archdiocese of Los Angeles to unite in a corporal act of mercy. “Though
we are many, we are one” is this year’s theme as we reach out to parishes
and schools who need our help in making the message of God’s love
known to those around them.
The appeal directly benefits more than half a million of our Catholic
brothers and sisters throughout the Archdiocese, including many parishes
close to home. Be sure to see the brochure in this week’s parish bulle-
tin—you will be amazed at the effectiveness of this program, which is
restricted solely to helping struggling parishes and schools.
Those who have generously given to Together in Mission in the past will
be receiving a letter inviting you to again join in this active work of mer-
cy. Next weekend, January 23/24, is Commitment Weekend, when we
will make our in-pew pledges. We are many, but we are one in Christ and
in His mercy.
May God bless you for your generosity!
