About The Exhibition

Forsaken Africa is a collection of stunning images capturing the wildlife and life in the African wilderness. This exhibition studies the land and animals of Africa, emphasising the fragile relationship between the two, whilst importantly focusing on their resilience.

The photographs are printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, mounted on Dibond and framed floating in a handmade box complete with non-reflective glass. Some of the works are printed on metallic paper and mounted in Diasec, ready to hang.

Each image is issued in editions no more than 18 copies. All accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. There are over 14 stunning images on display in the exhibition, including one never published before image.

“Kili Encounter was shot in Amboseli, Kemya. This massive bull was following the parade of elephants going to the swamps. The day was clear and Kilimanjaro was uncovered. I got out of the vehicle against the advice of my Masai guide and laid on the ground waiting for the bull to pass.

As he crossed the gravel road he saw me and we both froze for what seemed like minutes... He then carried on. I had the reflex to shoot this image with Kilimanjaro in the back ”
