High School Ski Trip(9th-12th Grades)

January 3-6, 2017Snowshoe Mountain Resort

Snowshoe, West Virginia

Students will leave Tuesday, January 3 at 6:30 AM and leave the lodge at 7 AM Friday, January 6 arriving at FBCC approximately 8 PM.

REQUIREMENTS/COSTS

• Must have at least 50% attendance in Sunday morning Bible Study from September 21st-December 16th

• Must have 50% attendance in ROC mid-week services during the same period.

• Cost for students that have met requirements AND completed the Call to Grace devotional study is $340.

• Cost for students who met attendance requirements but have not completed the devotional study is $380.

• Price includes transportation, meals at the lodge and lodging, lift tickets, rental equipment (skis, snowboards), as well as discipleship materials. Meals on the way up and back are NOT included.

• Those interested in participating must turn in a release form and $50 deposit

December Christmas Basket ProjectEach Christmas Season our Bible Fellowship Groups collect food items to be distributed along with a turkey to families in our area. Please bring the following designated items for the Christmas Basket distribution by December 18th. Baskets will be distributed on Thursday, December 22nd.

PASTOR’S BIBLE STUDYLed by Pastor Lynn Hyatt weekly in the Chapel

Brother Lynn leads a weekly Bible study that usually centers upon a theme that will run for several weeks. Recent multi-week themes have included; books of the Bible, people of the Bible and doctrines of the Bible to name a few. This weekly study is appropriate for all believers, whether you have been a Christian several days or several years.

Many times these sessions allow for questions and discussion and provide an excellent opportunity to hear our pastor in a more casual setting.

New Giving Envelopes Now Available Giving envelopes for those already assigned have been placed in the hallway between the preschool area and the main foyer. If you do not find envelopes in your name and would like to have a set of envelopes, please contact the Financial Office at 879-2172.

Year - End Contributions Please note that checks that are received in the church office by 5PM on Friday, December 30 or are mailed with a postmark of December 31 or earlier are deductible in the 2016 tax year.

Filing 2016 Tax Returns You should not file your federal income tax return before you receive a contribution statement from the church. These will be mailed by January 31st.
